어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 사회성 발달과의 관계 = A study on the Relationship between Mother’s Child-rearing Attitudes and Kindergartener’s Social Development

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed to understand the relationship between mother’s child-rearing attitudes and the development of early childhood sociality. The subjects for this study consisted of mothers having average children from seven selected Kindergartens and eight daycare centers in Seoul and Kyunggi district.
The result data analysis are as follows. First, the affectionate mother’s child-rearing attitude correlates with child’s social ability, stability, and incorrectness, and the rejective child-rearing attitude correlates with child’s sensibility, and cooperativeness, and the control child-rearing attitude correlates with child’s social ability, over sensibility, and cooperativeness. Second, we are able to know the more affectionate mother’s child-rearing attitudes was, the higher child’s social activity and cooperativeness showed, the more rejective, mother’s child rearing attitudes was, the higher over sensitivity and incorrectness appeared. Therefore we know that when child-rearing attitude of the mother shows affectionate mother’s child-bearing attitude, child’s sociality, social activity, stability and cooperativeness appeared high, and in the course of growing childs are able to have affirmative positively and socially.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 사회성 발달과의 관계를 알아보기 위해 유치원 7곳과 어린이집 8곳의 재원중인 유아의 어머니를 대상으로 300부의 설문지를 배포하였으며, 그 중 213부가 본 연구의 분석에 사용되었다. 어머니의 양육태도를 알아보기 위해 Schaefer(1959)의 Maternal Behavior Research Instrument(MBRI)를 이원영(1983) 교수가 번안하고 수정한 어머니의 양육태도 설문지와 유아의 사회성 발달 측정을 위하여 Pease(1979) 등의 lowa Social Competency Scale : Preschool form(ISCS[P])를 근거로 한 유아의 사회성 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니의 애정적 태도는 유아의 활동성, 안정성, 협력성과 상관관계가 있고, 어머니의 거부적 태도는 유아의 과민성, 비협조성과 상관관계가 있고, 어머니의 통제적 태도는 유아의 사회적 활동성, 과민성, 협조성과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육태도가 애정적일 수록 유아의 사회적 활동성, 협력성은 높게 나타났으며, 어머니의 양육태도가 거부적일수록 과민성, 비협조성이 높게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 어머니의 양육태도가 애정적인 양육태도를 보일 때 유아의 사회성인 사회적 활동성, 안정성, 협력성이 높게 나타났고, 긍정적인 사회성을 소유한 유아로 성장할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.
