사회적 지지와 장애대학생 학업적응의 관계: 장애정체감의 매개효과 분석을 기반으로 = The Mediating Effects of the Disability Identity in Social Support and Adjustment to College of College Students with Disabilities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 장애대학생의 학업적응에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 인과관계를 탐색하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 장애대학생의 학업적응에 대한 사회적 지지의 직접효과와 장애정체감을 매개로한 매개효과를 설명하고자 하였다. 장애정체감의 사회적 지지와 학업적응의 관계에서의 매개효과 검증의 결과는 다음과 같다. 장애정체감은 사회적 지지와 학업적응 관계에서는 부분매개효과를, 그리고 사회적 지지와 학업적응의 하위변인인 동기화에서는 완전매개효과를 가졌다. 즉 사회적 지지가 장애대학생의 학업적응과 동기화를 직접적으로 높이기보다 장애정체감이라는 매개변인을 통해 동기화에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 사회적 지지가 장애정체감과 같은 심리적 적응을 높이고 심리적 적응이 학업적응 중에서도 동기화를 높이는 방식으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 사회적 지지를 강화함으로써 장애정체감과 같은 심리적 적응을 높이고 궁극적으로 장애대학생의 학업적응을 향상시킬 수 있다는 결과를 도출하였다. 나아가 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 장애대학생에게 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 학업적응 지원 프로그램이 개발되고 이를 적용한 중재연구가 후속연구로서 진행되길 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to find out casual relationship among the factors affecting on academic adjustment of college students with disabilities. Thus, this study attempts to examine the direct effect of social support and mediating effect of the disability identity on the academic adjustment to college. Results show that social support, directly and indirectly, exerts on academic adjustment to college of students with disabilities. The disability identity have a partial mediating effect between social support and academic adjustment of college students with disabilities, whereas the disability identity have a full mediating effect between social support and motivation of academic adjustment. Based on the results, the study suggests that social support, the factor in improving academic adjustment to college of students with disabilities, the disability identity is a factor in accepting them from the difficulties in adjustment to college due to their conditions. Also, this result implies that higher education for students with disabilities must consider both social support and psycho-social intervention to promote academic adjustment to college of student with disabilities. Therefore, this study discussed that to promote the disability identity of college students with disabilities, the current support resources should be implemented in an integrated system that links college, home, and local social organizations and provides social support as each individual's adaptation resources.
