사회적 상황에 따른 지적장애인에 대한 대학생의 태도 = A Study on the College Students` Attitudes toward Intellectual Disabled People according to Social Situations

Under the goal of investigating college students` attitudes toward intellectually disabled people in a variety of social situations, this study conducted a research with 403 subjects. In analyzing their attitudes, such related variables as gender, grade, major, disabled relatives, and first-and second-hand experiences were selected. As for the research tool, the Disability Social Relations Generalized Disability(DSRGD) developed by Hergenrather and Rhodes(2007) was translated and put to the validity and reliability test. As a result, the college students demonstrated different attitudes toward intellectually disabled people according to social situations and the related variables. The amounts of first-and second-hand experiences with disabilities turned out to affect their attitudes, as well. Those findings suggest that there should active efforts to improve college students` perceptions of disabilities.
