부부갈등 해소를 위한 치료적 개입의 효과에 관한 사례연구 = A Case Study on the Effectiveness of Therapeutic Intervention for Marital Conflict Resolution

The purpose of this study was to suggest a practice-oriented method that would resolve marital conflict. This study confirmed the effectiveness of the MRI interaction model and Murray Bowen’s family systems theory to solve marital and child’s problems. Also, this study attempted to identify the stages of change that family members undergo according to Prochaska’s transtheoretical model.
This study used the matrix and network display developed by Miles and Huberman as well as the open coding method to show the results of the study. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the elements of marital conflict included communication cutoff, distant relationship, and dysfunctional communication. Second, the factors influencing marital conflict consisted of the husband’s and wife’s unresolved emotions toward his(her) origin of family and the couple’s attempted solution. Third, the therapist utilized a mediator’s role, a client-centered approach, reframing, strengthening family members’ insight, exploring abbreviated stories, looking at possibilities for change, and exploring successful experiences as intervention techniques. Fourth, as a result of the therapy, the couple alleviated the marital conflict by functionally attempted communication method and reduced their child’s problematic behavior. Finally, there was a change in individual and family members’ relationships.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부부갈등을 겪고 있는 부부에 대하여 MRI(Mental Research Institute)의 상호작용적 가족치료모델과 Murray Bowen의 가족체계이론을 근거로 한 치료적 개입과 아울러 Prochaska의 초이론적 모델을 적용하여 가족의 변화과정을 분석한 사례연구로 부부갈등을 해소할 수 있는 실천방안의 제시를 목적으로 하였다. 개방코딩과 Miles와 Huberman이 제안한 매트릭스와 네트워크를 통한 질적 자료분석 결과, 부부갈등은 대화단절, 소원한 관계, 역기능적 의사소통으로 나타났고, 부부갈등에 영향을 미친 요인은 남편과 부인의 원가족에서 부모와의 미해결된 정서와 부부간 역기능적으로 시도된 해결책으로 나타났다. 치료자는 개입전략으로 중재자 역할, 내담자 중심 접근, 재명명, 내담자의 통찰력 강화, 생략된 언어 탐색, 변화가능성 탐색, 성공적 경험 탐색을 사용하였다. 가족치료의 결과, 내담자 가족은 기능적인 의사소통 방식의 시도로 부부갈등이 완화되었고 자녀의 문제행동이 감소되었으며 가족구성원 개인과 가족관계의 변화가 점진적으로 나타났다.
