빛의 그림자 영상의 투영과 반사를 이용한 미디어 아트 : 작품 〈그림자〉중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 문서는 뉴미디어아트에서 빛과 그림자의 두 가지 요소를 나타내는 형식을 연구 대상으로 하여 탐색하였다. 뉴미디어아트의 역사적 전개에 대한 회고에 근거하여, 뉴미디어 예술의 본질과 특징을 종합하여 간단히 서술하였다. 그 발전의 기원과 이론의 연원, 관념의 원천, 시각의 원 두 등의 프로세스를 개략적으로 기술한다. 뉴미디어아트의 발전에서 몇 십 년 동안 신소재, 신공예, 뉴테크놀로지의 출현은 뉴미디어아트의 표현력에 더 다양한 소재를 제공했다. 빛과 그림자는 물질과 비물질이라는 성질의 상호 접촉이 자연적으로 일어나는 현상을 나타내는 것이다. 새로운 종류의 예술적 표현 매체로 뉴미디어 아티스트가 부 여한 예술적 효과라고도 할 수 있다. 뉴미디어아트에서 표현된 감정과 그 의미를 분석해 뉴미디어아트에서 표현된 의미를 요약한다. 모든 물체는 본체와 그 뒤에 내재된 의미를 가진다. 물체 뒤에 숨어있는 내재된 의미는 빛과 그림자의 형태로 나타난다. 빛과 그림자의 사회적 의미와 표현을 이해하고, 예술가의 주관적 의미를 지닌 빛의 이미지를 대중에게 보여주고, 내면의 자유를 표현하는 '빛의 예술'의 표현법과 상징성을 일련의 사례 분석을 통해 이해한다. 빛과 어둠, 대립과 균형이라는 관계를 작품에 적용시키고 사상에 융합시키는 '빛과 그림자'를 뜻한다. 투사된 빛이 희망과 소망과 기억, 그림자가 생길 때 나타나는 형식은 현재, 과거, 그리고 고통을 나타낸다. 빛과 그림자가 서로 섞일 때 음영은 빛을 내포하고 빛은 그림자의 구성 부분이라는 일종의 혼돈과 통합, 대립적이면서도 조화로운 형식미의 법칙을 형성한다는 표현이 되었다. 빛과 그림자의 변화를 통해 관객의 공감을 이끌어내고, 빛과 그림자라는 요소가 뉴미디어아트에 적용되면서 나타나는 시각적 변화를 연구함으로써 빛과 그림자라는 두 예술 매체가 뉴미디어아트 창작에서 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다.

The new media art originated in the West and became popular all over the world in the 1980s. Its unique and novel aesthetics is different from traditional art. The essential elements Light and shadow are ubiquitous optical phenomenon.In previous research, light and shadow were not researched as a special art language, but instead, just used directly in different painting. This paper focuses on the expression of light and shadow elements in the new media art. As a medium in the nature, Light and Shadow are applied to the new media art, will make its unique style much bolder and more impressive and attract many artists to explore, it is worth diving into the research and studyfocuses on the study and research of expression of light and shadow in the new media art. Based on the review of the historical development of the new media art , this paper will summarize the essence and characteristics of the new media art, and briefly illustrate its origin and development, theoretical origin , conceptual origin, visual origin, etc. During the development of new media art in the past decades, the continuous appearing of new materials, new techniques and new technologies has created huge space for the expressive needs of new media art.
Light and shadow are naturally produced by the interaction between material property and nonmaterial property. It is also an artistic effect, which the new media artist defined it as a completely new art expression medium. By analyzing the emotions and senses expressed in the new media art, we can summarize the meaning expressed in the new media art.All objects have its natures and spirits behind.The spirits behind the objects are revealed to us in the form of light and shadow. To understand the meaning and expression of light and shadow in social context, show the image of light and shadow to the public, and analyze the expression and symbolism of "light and shadow art" which expresses inner freedom through a series of case.
The two sense images of light and shadow represent many meanings, such as brightness and darkness, opposites and balances etc, if adapt their relationship to the work and merge it into the mind, the projecting light represents hope, desire, and memory, while shadow represents the present, the past, and the pain. When light and shadow intermingle with each other, a new way of expression appear. The light is in shadow and shadow is also in light they are forming an aesthetic law of chaos and unity, opposition and harmony.Through changing the light and shadow to arouse the audience's resonance, we can study the visual changes of the two elements, light and shadow, in new media art. and finally take full advantage of “light and shadow” in the creation of new media art.
