대학생의 부모화 경험이 불안에 미치는 영향: 정서적 소진과 사회적 지지의 매개효과 = The Influence of University Student’s Parentification on Anxiety: The Mediating Effect of Emotional Exhaustion and Social Support

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The primary focus of this study was to examine the mediating effects of emotional exhaustion and social support on the relationship between parentification and anxiety. Through the purposive sampling technique, six hundred fifty one students were recruited from seven universities and colleges located in South Korea. Parentification, anxiety, emotional exhaustion and social support was explored. For data analysis, Pearson’s correlation coefficients and structural equation modeling were employed and all analyses were completed by using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0. Results suggests that parentification has an indirect effect on anxiety through emotional exhaustion and social support rather than have a direct effect on anxiety, suggesting to consider various factors associated with parentification to better help college students with anxiety related problems. Implication and potential for follow-up study were further discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 대학생의 부모화 경험이 불안에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 정서적 소진과 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 유의표집 방법으로 추출된 전국 7곳의 대학교 및 전문대학에 재학 중인 대학생 651명에게 부모화 경험, 불안, 정서적 소진, 사회적 지지에 대한 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 20.0을 통하여 상관관계, 연구모형의 적합도 및 매개효과의 유의성을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 부모화 경험과 불안의 관계에서 정서적 소진과 사회적 지지가 완전 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 위와 같은 결과를 통하여 부모화 경험이 직접적으로 불안에 영향을 미치기 보다는 정서적 소진과 사회적 지지에 매개하여 불안에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 또한 상담실제에서 불안을 호소하는 대학생 내담자의 경우 성장기 부모화 경험뿐만 아니라 매개효과가 검증된 다양한 변인들에 대한 탐색과 개입이 필요함을 시사한다. 끝으로 위와 같은 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.
