대학생의 직업가치 유형화 연구 = The Study of Vocational Value Subtypes of College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted with the idea that the work value of college students who are in a transitional period will have a significant effect on career adaptability. The research involved 1,500 students of thirteen 4-year universities including Seoul and the metropolitan area. This study was conducted by selecting 10 items among the career themes of vocational card sort that appeared in work value analysis as the sub-dimension and the questions were composed by using the expressions that were actually used by the study subjects. The creation of work value subtypes was carried out by K-average method, one of the most well-known non-hierarchical clustering method, to ensure accuracy of the cluster analysis. As a result, five work value groups were selected and the characteristics of each group were analyzed before naming them tepid exploration group, enthusiastic innovation group, conservative status-seeking group, passive stagnant group, change-oriented creativity group. By suggesting phenomenal patterns of the characteristics of college students regarding career path, the subtypes of work value are expected to contribute to contextual understanding and direction in intervention for future career counseling.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 진로발달단계의 전환기에 처해 있는 대학생들의 직업가치가 향후 진로적응성에 중대한 영향을 미칠 것으로 보고 이를 분석하여 현상적 고찰을 시도하였다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 직업카드분류의 누적된 사례분석을 통해 대학생의 선호직업의 특성을 추출한 선행연구를 토대로 대학생들이 가지고 있는 직업가치의 유형화를 실시하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 수도권 소재 4년제 대학 재학생 1500명이며, 선행연구 결과에 따른 대학생의 22개 진로주제 항목 중 언급 횟수의 빈도가 높은 10개 항목을 채택하여 하위차원으로 설정하고 실재 연구대상이 기술한 진로주제의 표현으로 설문을 구성하였다. 유형화는 진로와 관련된 다양한 변인의 영향을 통합적으로 볼 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 그 영향력이 개인에게 어떻게 체계화되어 존재하고 있는지 알 수 있기 때문에 비계층적 군집화 방법인 K-평균법을 통해 직업가치 유형화를 수행하였다. 분석 결과 대학생들의 직업가치는 5가지 유형으로 분류가 가능하였고, 그들을 각각 미온적 탐색형, 진취적 도전형, 보수적 지위추구형, 수동적 안주형, 변화지향적 창의형 등으로 명명하였다. 본 연구에서 추출된 5가지 직업가치 유형은 상담의 장면에서 대상이 가지고 있는 이슈에 따라 차별적이고 적확한 개입을 위한 기초 자료의 의미가 있으며, 직업카드분류를 질적 도구의 활용법에 충실히 적용한 경험적 연구가 아직 전무한 상태에서 본 연구는 진로상담분야 연구에서 이론적․경험적 연구로서 그 의의가 있다.
