This study aims to provide practical guidance for improving the life skill of University Students by exploring the difference between physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill of Chinese and Korean University Students with their participation in Physical education class. The research can be summarized in four ways.
First, the differences in physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skills are analyzed based on the degree of participation of University Students in Physical education class in China and Korea. With the variables of gender, age, grade, and degree of participation in Physical education class, the differences in the degree of participation in Physical education class, physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill, are analyzed respectively. Second, the correlation between the degree of participation in Physical education class and physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill are analyzed. Third, the mediating effect of physical self-concept and ego-resilience is explored. So, as a result of verifying the degree of participation, physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and ranking effect of life skill of Chinese and Korean University Students
For this purpose, 300 University Students from three universities in Jeollabuk-do, Chonbuk National University, and Jeonju National University of Education were selected for Korean subjects, while 450 University Students from three universities in Jiangsu Province, Yangju University, and Nanjing University were selected as Chinese subjects. For data processing, this study uses frequency analysis, exploratory analysis, t-test, one-way variance analysis, Scheffé verification, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and equation structure models as spss26.0 programs to test the significance of mediating effects. Among them, 642 cases (231 cases in Korea and 411 cases in China) are used excluding invalid answer data. The summary of the research results is as follows.
First, there is a difference in the ego-resilience between Korean and Chinese University Students participating in Physical education class and physical education classes, and the level of Chinese University Students is higher than that of Korean University Students. Among them, there are significant differences in life satisfaction and optimism, cause analysis, relationship, empathy, communication, and emotional control, which are sub-factors.
Physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill are classified, explained, and analyzed by country. As a result of the variance analysis of gender, age, grade, and Physical education class participation of them, physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill differ significantly in physical self-concept, but Korean university students show gender differences only in physical self-concept.
Second, after controlling the influence of background variables (gender, age, grade, nationality), regression analysis shows a positive predictive effect on physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill.
Third, physical self-concept and ego-resilience have a mediating effect between the degree of participation in Physical education class and life skill, and this mediating effect includes three paths. There is one parallel mediating effect of physical self-concept and ego-resilience, respectively, and one sequence mediating effect of physical self-concept and ego-resilience. However, in the sequence mediating effect, the effect of ego-resilience is more significant than physical self-concept. It was found that the more University Students participate in the physical self-concept in the Physical education class course, the better their awareness of the degree of participation and ego-resilience will be increased.
And, as a result of verifying the degree of participation, physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and ranking effect of life skill of Chinese and Korean University Students, the mediating effect of ego-resilience between Physical education class participation and life skill is evident. In other words, the ego-resilience of Chinese and Korean University Students has a complete mediating effect on the relationship between the degree of participation in Physical education class and life skill.
This study observes the collective differences in physical self-concept, ego-resilience, and life skill of the two groups who participated in the Physical education class and physical education curriculum. The collective characteristics of life skill mastery verified the mediating effect of physical self-concept and ego-resilience in the impact of Physical education class participation in the curriculum on life skill are proved and the importance of ego-resilience to acquire life skill is verified. It is important because it can give implications for training practitioners. In addition, this paper is meaningful in that it compares the psychological perspectives of Chinese and Korean University Students participating in after-school Physical education class and provides data support for students' mental health.
