보육교사 민감성에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인분석 = The Analysis on the Predicting Variables Affecting Sensitivities of Teachers in the Early Childhood Education Program

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The sensitivity of the child care teacher refers to how they reacts verbally and behaviorally to the infants, and is an attempt to measure quantitatively various variables influencing on the teacher sensitivity, differently from the method, which analyzes focusing on the physical environment, the teacher quality and teacher`s behavior itself. The purpose of this study was to examine the relations of teacher sensitivity with various variables (teacher personal variables, environmental characteristics), known to influence on the teacher sensitivity and to verify if these variables can predict the teacher sensitivity. The subjects of this study were 114 teachers working at the child care centers located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do and the significance on each variable was tested using multiple regression stepwise analysis. The results were as follows: The salary, the total work period, the child-oriented edu-care faith, and the job stress due to the overload and the relationship with the parents of pupils were the strong predicting variables for the positive sensitiveness. But the job stress from the leadership and the insufficient administrative support of the president was for negative sensitiveness.
