貯藏血液에서의 血小板數 및 機能變化를 觀察코자 健康한 成人 5名에서 採血한 血被을 ACD獻血 용기에 분주하여 4℃에 保管한 후 採血直後(0시간), 3, 6, 12시간, 1,2,3,5,7,10,14일에 이들 貯藏血液에서의 血小板數를 測定하고 各種 凝集因子에 對한 血小板 機能檢査를 施行하여 다음과 같은 成續을 얻었다.
1. 血小板數는 貯藏 3日에 73.7%, 5日에 63.2% 그리고 14日에는 39.3%로 減少하였다.
2. 凝集因子中 ADP와 ristocetin에 對한 凝集能의 變化는 類似하며, 貯藏 3日까지는 對照인 0日의 凝集能과 別 差異가 없었다. 貯藏 5日에도 50% 前後의 凝集能을 보였으나 이후 심한 變化가 觀察되었다.
3. 凝集困子中 epinephrine은 貯藏 直後부터 減少幅은 완만하여 凝集能의 低下가 觀察되나 貯藏3∼5日에도 50% 前後의 凝集能을 보였다.
4. 그러나 collagen에 對한 凝集抑制反應은 매우 저명하여 貯藏직후부터 lag phase가 길어지고 疑集率이 顯著히 低下되었다.

This study was designed to investigate the sequential changes of platelet count and platelet aggregation function in stored blood at 4℃.
Blood obtained from healthy 5 persons was stored at the ACD-anticoagulated screw capped tube. Platelet count was measured by Coulter counter S-Plus II and platelet function was evaluated by the aggregation function with ADP, epinephrine, ristocetin, and collagen, respectively at 0 hours, 3, 6, 12, 24 hours and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th and 14th days after storage.
The results were obtained as follows.
1. Platelet counts were reduced to 73.3% at 3 days, 68.2% at 5th day and 39.3% at 14th day after storage.
2. Little change was shown in the aggregation pattern of ADP and ristocetin until 3 days after storage. Aggregation function was sustained about 50% at 5th day and markedly reduced thereafter.
3. Aggregation function to epinephrine was immediately decreased after storage but was sustained about 50% in 3rd or 5th day of storage.
4. Marked inhibition of aggregation function to collagen was shown. So, prolonged lag phase and reduced aggregation function was observed in proportion to storage period.
