The state estimation for switched systems with nonlinear disturbances and the bounded exogenous input is investigated in this paper. By using the generalized Gronwall-Bellman inequality, we obtain some estimation results for the solutions of the systems under arbitrary switching laws, which extend some existing results in the literature to the more general nonlinear case. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.
Stability of switched positive homogeneous nonlinear systems with mode-dependent average dwell time

This paper addresses stability of switched positive nonlinear systems (SPNS) by using mode-dependent average dwell time (MDADT) approach. Compared with the average dwell time (ADT) switching, the switching signal used in this paper is more general, which allows each mode has its own average dwell time. Based on non-Lyapunov function method in terms of positive system, several stability criteria are derived. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
Practical finite-time stability of homogeneous positive nonlinear systems

The issue of practical finite-time stability (PFTS) for homogeneous positive systems (HPSs) with exogenous disturbance is investigated in this article. Based on max-separable Lyapunov function (MSLF) method, we get a sufficient condition for PFTS for the considered system. What’s more, we obtain a finite settling-time depending on the proof by contradiction. Our results are more specific and easily obtained in comparison to the existing results, and we generalize the results of HPSs to the time-varying nonlinear systems via a technique of comparison. Finally, the feasibility of the adopted technique is specified by a suitable example.
