      • Improved Channel Estimation Algorithms based on a Proposed Signal Model for PUCCH Format 3 in LTE-A

        SORTD (Space Orthogonal-Resource Transmit Diversity) has already become a better way of transmit diversity for PUCCH format 3 in LTE-A [1]. SORTD technology lies in the characteristic that each antenna port transmits signal by using different cyclic shift [2] to make orthogonal each other. Using the SORTD’s feature of incoherence in different antennas, this paper proposes a special form of signal model. Based on this proposed model, we propose a low complexity channel estimator based on LS and cubic spline interpolation, and then we put a LS and DCT algorithm to improve the interpolation performance. Finally, for more accurate estimator we drive the third approach based on MMSE and DCT. A series of theoretical researches and simulation results show that all of them are suitable for the proposed signal model even in the environment of high-speed movement; especially the algorithms with DCT have a better performance.

      • Topic Sentiment Analysis in Chinese News

        Sentiment analysis in news is different from normal text sentiment analysis. News usually have a specific topic, a focus semantic emotion, therefore, this paper, based on the principal of using Emotion Dependency Tuple (EDT) as the basic unit of news emotion analysis, resolves topic sentiment analysis in news into three progressive sub-problem, namely, topic sentence recognition, EDT extraction and topic sentiment analysis. We use an improved TF-IDF and cross entropy to extract feature set of topics. Then, based on space vector model, calculate the topic association of a sentence and extract topic sentence. Finally, we construct topic sentence based on EDT and complete clustering of news topic sentiment. This method is evaluated using COAE2014 dataset, and differential means shows that our results close to the best results. This shows that the topic based EDT could effectively improve performance of sentiment analysis in news.

      • Sb@C coaxial nanotubes as a superior long-life and high-rate anode for sodium ion batteries

        <P>Antimony (Sb) is an attractive anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) with a high theoretical capacity of 660 mAh g(-1). However, its practical application is greatly hindered by the rapid capacity fading which is largely due to the large volume expansion during sodiation. Tuning the morphology and structure at the nano-scale or using carbonaceous materials as the buffer layer is essential to address this issue. Here, a facile carbon-coating coupled with a thermal-reduction strategy has been developed to synthesize unique Sb@C coaxial nanotubes. With different annealing time, the hollow space and the amount of Sb inside the tube can be easily tuned by the partial evaporation of Sb. The as-obtained Sb@C nanotubes exhibit excellent sodium storage properties. The remarkable electrochemical performance results from the unique coaxial nanoarchitecture. Specifically, it delivers a high specific capacity of 407 mAh g(-1) at 100 mA g(-1) after 240 cycles. Furthermore, a stable capacity of 240 mAh g(-1) can be retained at 1.0 A g(-1) even after 2000 cycles. Most importantly, high capacities of 350 mAh g(-1) and 310 mAh g(-1) can be achieved at large current densities of 10 and 20 A g(-1), respectively, which represents the best rate performance among the reported Sb-based anode materials.</P>

        Mitochondrial-Targeted Polyethylenimine Functionalized Graphene Oxide Nanocarrier and Its Anti-Tumor Effect on Human Lung Carcinoma Cells

        Graphene oxide nanosheet (NGO) was covalently functionalized with positively charged, branched polyethylenimine (bPEI) via an amide bond, coated with serum proteins by electrostatic interaction. Operating as a newly fashioned, multifunctional nanocarrier, the processed NGO showed promise for use in combined gene therapy, chemotherapy, photothermal therapy, bioimaging and as a biosensor of cancer cells. Our current research is focused on the systematic studies of mechanisms of cancer cellular uptake, subcellular location, cytotoxicity and the cellular exclusion of the NGO–bPEI nanocarriers. It was observed that NGO–bPEI accumulated in the mitochondria and that long-term retention of NGO–bPEI led to a decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential while levels of reactive oxygen species increased. The mitochondrial effects associated with long-term retention of NGO–bPEI have potential as a synergistic enhancer of the cytotoxic effects of anti-cancer drugs or genes in human lung carcinoma (A549) cells. This work demonstrated the utility of NGO–bPEI-based multifunctional nanocarriers while detailing the mechanism at the cellular level and providing guidance for further research in cancer therapy.

        Co2+-coordination-assisted enhancement of mechanical and iodynamic properties of 3D graphene-based double network hydrogels for all-solid-state supercapacitors

        This paper reports an enhanced strategy for improving the mechanical flexibility and ionic kinetic properties of a double network hydrogel based on Co2+-coordination assistance. The modified double-network hydrogel was obtained by using acrylic acid and N, N-dimethylacrylamide as monomers, adding cross-linking agents and 3D nitrogen-doped graphenes. The tensile fracture rate of the modified hydrogel was 1925% and its tensile strength was 1696 kPa. In addition, the hydrogel exhibited excellent ionic dynamics, and its application to an all-solid-state supercapacitor was able to achieve a specific capacitance of up to 182.8 F g−1. The supercapacitor exhibited an energy density of 34.2 Wh kg−1, even when operating at a power density of 5 kW kg−1, highlighting its significant potential for practical applications.

      • A Novel Method to Predict Connectivity Probability of a Plane in Multi-Airline AANET

        A novel method is introduced for approximate calculation of the probability that a plane can connect to a base station in an aeronautical ad hoc networks (AANET) where planes move along multiple specified airlines. Since the communication coverage of a plane can covers segments of airlines, for each of these segments, there is a probability that the communication of the plane (FCOM) can extend to it, from which FCOM can extend again to others segments of airlines until it reaches a base station. As multiple airlines are in AANET, there are plenty of extension paths for FCOM to reach a base station and each path has an existing probability, which is used to calculate the probability that the plane can connects to a base station. Thus, our method is in fact some kind of probabilistic diffusion, which works out the probability that the communication of a plane can diffuse to a base station. We choose the flight routes above the North Pacific Ocean and also generate some random scenarios in simulations to show the correctness and universality of our work. In the conclusion, several future works of AANET based on our method are introduced.
