Perceived Saturation Difference of Congenital Red-Green Color Vision Deficiencies
Koto Kanari,Tomoharu Ishikawa,Miyoshi Ayama 한국색채학회 2017 AIC 2017 Jeju Vol.2017 No.10
Along the goal to seek the way for proper color enhancement of color images or signs for all types of color vision people, we carried out the experiment to measure perceived saturation difference of two color samples of the same brightness and hue for congenital red-green color deficiencies and normal color vision peoples. Eleven pairs of red, green, yellow and blue stimuli, each of them was matched in brightness for individual observer were pepared as the test stimuli. Then, the luminance difference of achromatic pair that gives the same perceived difference as the test pair was employed as the measure of equivalent perceived difference. Seven protans, 10 deutans, and 14 normals participated the experiment. Results showed that perceived saturation difference decreases roughly to 60% in red and green pairs, 70 % to 90% in yellow and blue pairs. Hue circle perception was also examined using color difference evaluations and MDS. Degree of distortion seems to relate to the severity of color deficiency.
Contrast Impact of Two-Piece Garments
Miyoshi Ayama,Tomoharu Ishikawa,Michiru Tagaya 한국색채학회 2017 AIC 2017 Jeju Vol.2017 No.10
To measure the contrast impact, the strength of contrast impression, of two-piece garments composed of the blouse made of patterned fabric and black skirt was challenged. Luminance contrast of the blouses of achromatic colors and black skirt that provide equivalent strength of contrast impression was employed as the scale of contrast impact. Relation between the contrast impact and various KANSEI evaluation words was also investigated. Results indicate that contrast impact can be measured in this method, and it strongly correlates positively with KANSEI evaluations of “Showy” and “Bright”, and negatively with “Subdued”.
Frictional Behavior ofr-Irradiated MoS₂Coating Film at Cryogenic Temperatures
Yoshino, Yasuhiro,Ishikawa, Kaneto,Shimizu, Tomoharu,Iwabuchi, Akira,Makoto, Sugimoto ENGINEERING TRIBOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE KYUNGPOOK 1999 INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HIGH PERFORMANCE OF TRI Vol.1999 No.-
Frictional problems in superconducting magnets are related to the stability and reliability of the magnets, because frictional heating causes quench of the manger and the frictional resistance determines the limit of the shear force at the contacting sufaces. In addition to these problems, magnet structural materials are exposed with neutron and γ-ray in Deutrium- Tritum type fusion reactor, so that it is required to investigate the frictional behavior for irradiated magnet structural materials at cryogenic temperatures. In this study, we investigated the influence of γ-irradiated MoS2 coating film and GFRP AT 4.2 K 77K AND 293 K under fretting conditions.
Age and Wavelength Dependence of Intraocular Straylight
Nao Tsuchiya,Tomonori Tashiro,Tomoharu Ishikawa,Kazuhiko Ohnuma,Miyoshi Ayama 한국색채학회 2017 AIC 2017 Jeju Vol.2017 No.10
Intraocular straylight is the light scattered in the eye. There are some causes to produce it. Main cause of it is forward scattering by the ocular media. It leads to decline the QOL, thus the QOV as well. So it is important to develop the quantitative measurement method and simplified measurement device. In this study, we estimated the amount of intraocular straylight using a veiling method with an edgeless test stimulus and examined the age and wavelength dependence. Results indicate that intraocular straylight increases with age as expected. About the wavelength dependence, relative decrease from short to middle wavelength range seems to follow Rayleigh scattering, while it stays in about the same level from middle to long wavelength region.
