The experimental investigation was carried out to study the influence of dowel force of longitudinal flexural reinforcement of concrete beams. Due to intricacy involved in shear transfer mechanism accurate predictions of shear behavior was difficult to evaluate. The influence of shear in uncracked compression zone, aggregate interlocking, stirrups is well understood but contribution of dowel force was not clearly represented despite implied belief that dowel force is an important constituent in shear resistance. The idea of present study is to appraise shear resistance arising from dowel force with varying flexural reinforcement with shear reinforcement provided. A total of eight beams were cast and verified as parametric study. Four beams were provided with preformed diagonal tension cracks and another four beams were conventional beams. The study was carried out by keeping shear span to depth ratio and clear cover constant. Results obtained was studied from moment vs. displacement curve and strain vs. moment curve and compared with existing empirical formulas. It was noticed that aggregate interlocking is insignificant with shear reinforcement provided and beams with preformed diagonal tension cracks had exhibited greater structural behavior when compared to conventional beams.

Text mining is an important process used for analyzing the data collected from different sources like videos, audio, social media, and so on. The tools like Natural Language Processing (NLP) are mostly used in real-time applications. In the earlier research, text mining approaches were implemented using long-short memory (LSTM) networks. In this paper, text mining is performed using average-stochastic gradient descent weight-dropped (AWD)-LSTM techniques to obtain better accuracy and performance. The proposed model is effectively demonstrated by considering the internet movie database (IMDB) reviews. To implement the proposed model Python language was used due to easy adaptability and flexibility while dealing with massive data sets/databases. From the results, it is seen that the proposed LSTM plus weight dropped plus embedding model demonstrated an accuracy of 88.36% as compared to the previous models of AWD LSTM as 85.64. This result proved to be far better when compared with the results obtained by just LSTM model (with 85.16%) accuracy. Finally, the loss function proved to decrease from 0.341 to 0.299 using the proposed model

<P>Mononuclear Zn(<SMALL>II</SMALL>)-DPA and Cu(<SMALL>II</SMALL>)-DPA complexes crafted on 2-hydroxy-6-cyanonaphthalene fluorophore selectively recognize PPi over ATP and other anions including inorganic phosphates in aqueous medium, showing turn-on type fluorescence enhancements. Coordination of a hydroxyl group of the fluorophore, directly or in alkoxy form, to the central metal ion is crucial for the sensing processes. Both the complexes elicit a fluorescence increase in a time-dependent fashion.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Two mononuclear Zn(<SMALL>II</SMALL>)-DPA and Cu(<SMALL>II</SMALL>)-DPA complexes crafted on a 2-hydroxy-6-cyanonaphthalene fluorophore are synthesized; they selectively sense pyrophosphates (PPi) over ATP, phosphates, and other anions in aqueous medium, showing 17–24 times fluorescence enhancement. The present investigation aims to synthesize the novel nanocomposite thin film and utilize the material to remove emerging dyes efficiently (i.e., Rhodamine B (R-B) and Rhodamine 6G (R-6G)), in an aqueous solution using LED visible light and UV-A light. A facile synthetic route was adopted to obtain the TiO2-supported bentonite and in situ decorated with Au nanoparticles (NPs) thin film. The advanced analytical techniques characterizes the materials. The laboratory scale reactor was utilized for efficient degradation of R-B and R-6G using thin film catalysts. The percentage removal of R-B was 54.13% (visible light) and 76.26% (UV-A light) and the R-6G, was removed 60.37% (visible light) and 84.68% (UV-A light) at the initial pollutant concentration of 0.5 mg/L and at pH 6.0 using the thin film photocatalyst. The parametric studies demonstrated the insights of degradation mechanisms in photocatalytic operations. A significant mineralization of these dyes is achieved, and the repeated use in reactor operations indicated the catalysts’ stability. After six repeated cycles of photocatalytic reaction, the efficacy of catalyst was decreased by 1.02% only (for R-G) and 0.93% only (for R-6G). A plausible reaction pathway was proposed, and the real implications showed higher selectivity of the catalyst.

In this paper two different steels, low carbon steel and 304 stainless steel are lap joined to tubular 6063 aluminium by using high velocity electromagnetic force and the joint behaviour is evaluated for mechanical strength, microstructure and leakage proof. Analytical model is used to set the input energy needed to accomplish the welding. Numerical model is used for the analysis of the impact velocity along the length of electromagnetic coil. Aluminum joint with low carbon steel rod has a characteristic waviness at the joint interface whereas aluminum with 304 stainless steel has flat interface under identical electromagnetic force. Mechanical pull test confirmed that joint strength is acceptable for both the steels as failure took place in the base aluminium metal. Helium leak proof tests are found to be satisfactory in both the cases. Fair agreement is observed between experimental results, analytical and numerical analyses.
