      • Cooperation between China and ASEAN in Combating Wildlife Trade under the Framework of Regional Legal System

        Jiang Angyu(Angyu Jiang),Zong Wei(Wei Zong),Shi Qianfan(Qianfan Shi) 아시아사회과학학회 2022 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.9 No.1

Because of its greater biodiversity, ASEAN has long been a source and transit hub for transnational wildlife trafficking. Although several international and domestic wildlife enforcement mechanisms have been established, the scope and effectiveness of international legal cooperation and policy coordination between China and ASEAN remain limited. Governments have been hampered in their efforts to combat wildlife trafficking by the difficulties of investigation and prosecution in overseas jurisdictions and the maintenance of illicit supply chains by organized crime groups. This paper reviews the main trends of legal and illegal wildlife trade between China and ASEAN, explores the existing legal and policy frameworks of ASEAN countries and China, and discusses the effectiveness of cooperation between China and ASEAN countries by referring to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC). Finally, put forward the legal cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in combating transnational illegal wildlife trafficking.

      • Research on the Influence of US “Indo-Pacific Strategy” on China’s Relations with Southwest Neighboring Countries

Sun Xiqin,Shi Qianfan 아시아사회과학학회 2021 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.5 No.1

South Asian and Southeast Asian countries are located in the southwest of China, which is an important direction for China’s peripheral diplomacy and building a community of peripheral destiny. The Indian Ocean-Pacific Region is a key strategic channel for China to acquire energy, resources and commodity markets, and it is also a key region for the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative to advance. The US “Indo- Pacific Strategy” has highlighted the central position of Southeast Asia, which has exerted an influence on South Asian Southeast Asian countries and China’s relations with South Asian Southeast Asia. China needs to pay closer attention to the geopolitical changes of neighboring countries in the southwest, develop cooperative relations with South Asian and Southeast Asian countries and promote friendly exchanges through multiple channels.

      • Viewing Sino-India Relations from the Perfective of Indian Visa Policy

        He Hongmei,Shi Qianfan,Ma Li’ai 아시아사회과학학회 2021 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.2 No.3

Looking back at history, it can be found that the Indian government has formulated a well stringent visa policy due to the impact of various factors such as India s internal affairs and foreign policies. To a certain extent, India’s strict visa policy is a product of its conservative foreign policy. With all-round development of politics, economy, and society in recent years, especially after Modi’s government took power and drove concepts of “Hindutva” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, the self-confident government has carried out an “ambitious” foreign policy and continuously strengthened its ties with other countries around the world, which has effectively promoted the reform and change of India’s visa policy. Meanwhile, the flourishing visa policy also drives the transition of India’s foreign policy. In the 21st century, as the largest developing countries in the world, the relationship between China and India has been regarded as “Dragon Elephant Dispute” and it attracts worldwide attention. As Asia’s largest neighbor, China and India develop robustly, and the intention and possibility of cooperation and trust-building in bilateral economy, politics and culture are getting much stronger. However, for a long time in the past, India s strict visa policy has become a hurdle of the bilateral relations. Reviewing the literature, it is found that there are fruitful outcomes in the study of Sino-India relations, but few studies have probed into Sino-India relations from the changes of the visa policy. This paper attempts to sort out changes of Indian visa policy and the history of Sino-India relations, clarify the relationship between them, and make a judgment on the development of Indian visa policy and Sino-India relations.

      • Research on the Status Quo and Prospects of Sino-Indian Film Industry Cooperation

Sun Xiqin,Shi Qianfan,Niu Hongbin 아시아사회과학학회 2020 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.1 No.2

Both China and India are big civilized countries with large populations and huge markets, as well as splendid cultures. People’s demand for cultural products is increasing with the continuous improvement of economic life. India’s Bollywood films have distinct characteristics and enjoy a high reputation internationally, with ample production volume and strong development momentum. In recent years, Indian films have achieved good results in both public praise and box office in China. The two countries have initially explored the film cooperation at the both levels of the government and the people, but the cooperation foundation is still relatively weak. In the future, China and India also need to strengthen cooperation in the film industry from both macro and micro aspects, and sign the Memorandum of Film and Television Cooperation: give policy preference to China and India in film translation and joint production; strengthen the cultivation of film and television talents in industrial cooperation, and develop excellence Works, improve the level of film cooperation, enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, and enhance mutual trust between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit.
