The corrosion fatigue test was performed under rotated bending in salt solution having a concentration from 0.01 wt percent to 3.5 wt percent to investigate the corrosion fatigue crack propagation characteristics for dual phase steel. Corrosion pits were occurred in martensite, and microcracks occurred at corrosion pits were selectively propagated towared martensite because slip bands were not found in ferrite which were encapsulated by martensite. The number of corrosion pits, the diameter of corrosion pits and the length of corrosion cracks for M.E.F. and raw material(R.M)were increased with the concentration of salt solution and the number of cycles. The initiation of crack was almost same regardless of the concentration of salt solution; approximately N??/N??=20% in case of M.E.F. and N??/N??=14% in case of raw material (R.M.) The difference of corrosion fatigue crack propagation was increased with an increase in concentration of salt solution. The corrosion resistance effect of dual phase steel was smaller than that of raw material (R.M.) in corrosion fatigue crack propagation rate.

In order to check the effect of dislocation behavior on creep rate in 12% Chromium steel, 14 samples of different compositions were examined by creep rupture test, and subgrain sizes, distribution of dislocations and precipitates were checked. And, authors reviewed the behaviors of dislocations, the formation and growth of subgrains and precipitates during creep. The results are as the following :<br/> 1) Creep rates calculated by ?=pbv show 10~15% higher values than actual data measured. However, authors conclude that the density and velocity of dislocations together with subgrain size are important factors governing deformation during creep in 12% chromium steel.<br/> 2) The values of the strength of obstacles in the mobility of dislocations are more clearly depended on the effective stress in the range of 10±5㎏f/㎟ and increase with the increase of temperature.<br/> 3) Creep rates decrease with the smaller sizes of subgrains formed and can result in the longer creep rupture lives(hours). The smaller subgrains can be made by forming shorter free gliding distances of dislocations with very fine precipitates formed in the matrix during creep by applying proper alloy design.<br/> 4) Dislocation mobility gets hindered by precipitates occurring, which are coarsened by the softening process governed by diffusion during long time creep.
Numerical Analysis of Turbulent Gas-Particle Flow and Coal Combustion in a Fluidized-Bed Calciner

In this paper, we analyze numerically the characteristics of turbulent gas-particle flow, heat transfer, and coal combustion process in a fluidized-bed calciner for a cement manufacturing process. The simulation model was based on FLUENT, a commercially avaliable fluid dynamics code. The effects of the mutual interactions between particles were simulated by a discrete phase modeling approach, while the decomposition of calcium carbonate into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide upon heating was handled by a finite-rate reaction modeling approach. To verify the validity of the numerical simulation approach used in this work, the simulation results were compared with field data, for example, the gas velocity and temperature in some sampling points. The simulation results showed comparatively good correlations with the field data.
도시철도 운행시간 단축을 위한 차량과 차상신호장치간 인터페이스 개선 사례

최근 도시철도에서는 열차 운행시간 단축을 통한 선로용량 증대를 위해 최신의 열차제어시스템이 도입되고 있다. 역간 주행시간은 차량성능과 신호방식에 따라 결정되는데 신분당선에서는 차량과 차상신호장치간 인터페이스 회로를 분석하여 열차출발 시간을 단축 할 수 있도록 개선하였다. 본 논문에서는 역간 주행시간 단축을 위한 차량과 차상신호장치간 인터페이스 회로 개선 사례를 소개하고자 한다.

본 논문은 CBTC와 ETCS를 혼용하여 사용할 때 고려되어야 할 적용 가능한 기본적인 개념과 운영적인 측면을 다루고 있다. 이 개념들은 열차제어시스템 연결구간에서 전환이 이루어질 때 차상설비가 원활하게 동작하고 지상설비를 각각의 열차제어시스템이 공통으로 사용하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 개념들은 운용노선의 특성에 따라 결정하게 되며, 인터페이스에서부터 비롯된 세부사항들은 두 열차제어시스템의 유사점과 차이점에서부터 시작된다. 본 논문에서는 열차제어시스템을 운영노선의 특성에 맞추어 혼용 운영하는 방안을 영국사례를 중심으로 소개하고자 한다.
이온 窒化處理한 Cr-Mo鋼의 破壞靭性評價에 관한 硏究

Ion-Nitrided alloy steel has a characteristics of improving the property of antiabrasion. But due to the surface hardening and mechanical constrain effects between micro structures, it is difficult to analyze the fracture toughness and to evaluate them quantitatively. The valuation of fracture toughness uses CT specimen. J? was obtained by the R-curve method, stretched zone method, ultrasonic method and unloading compliance method according to JSME S 001-81 and ASTM E 813-81. The ?? values by stretched zone method were underestimated as compared with R-curve method, 13.1% at heat-treated specimens, 44.4% at ion-nitrided specimens. The effect of ion-nitriding and fracture toughness of ion-nitrided specimens were found to be larger than those of heat-treated specimen.

This paper considers the problem of minimizing an overlapped path and turning number to cover an uneven terrain ocean floor for an underwater mining robot. The purpose of this algorithm is to generate the shortest path to travel through the entire given bathymetric map with minimum overlapping path and minimum turning number based on binary map, cell decomposition, minimal sum of altitude method and depth-first search algorithm. To do this task, the following tasks are performed. Firstly, a binary map is obtained by applying threshold to the high slope regions of the ocean floor. Secondly, Morse cell decomposition method is applied to divide the whole area of work space into cells in the vertical and horizontal directions. To minimize the turning number, a minimal sum of altitude method is applied to the combination of vertical and horizontal cell decompositions. Finally, the coverage order is calculated by depth-first search algorithm. The simulation result shows that the proposed method generates the short coverage path with minimum overlapping, minimum turning number and fast coverage time compared to vertical and horizontal cell decomposition methods.
