ADAWIYAH, Rabiatul,NAJIB, Mukhamad,ALI, Mochammad Mukti Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.2
This study aims to determine the effect of consumer preferences and awareness on interest in organic vegetables. Factors observed in this study were information, consumer preferences, consumer awareness, and consumer buying interest toward organic vegetables. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The data sampling technique uses accidental sampling method. The data was collected from respondents consisted of 100 consumers of five major retailers in the city of Bogor in Indonesia. The respondents consist of 80 female (80%), and 57 respondents are 25-34 years old (57%). In terms of education, type of job and monthly income of respondent, the sample can be categorized as middle-class segment. The data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of this study indicate that the information obtained by consumers significantly and positively affects consumer preferences and consumer awareness of organic vegetables. Then, consumer preferences and consumer awareness significantly and positively affect the interest of consumers to buy organic vegetables. Consumer preference for organic vegetables is still considered quite low. The factors that influence the low consumer preference are the price of organic vegetables, which is more expensive than non-organic vegetables and the unattractive packaging of organic vegetables.
How to Measure Relationship Value in Principal-Retailer Context
PRASETYA, Prita,NAJIB, Mukhamad,SOEHADI, Agus W. Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 유통과학연구 Vol.19 No.1
Purpose: This study aims to review existing research on the definition, conceptualization, and measurement of relationship values to guide future research. This study specifically measures the relationship value between principals and retailers, which is still not widely discussed in previous research. Besides, to broaden our knowledge of the value-based determinants of competitive advantage, satisfaction, and retailer loyalty in business-to-business relationships. Research design, data, and methodology: This research assessed three alternative models of the relationship value construct's dimension structure and then tested for reliability, validity, and confirmatory factor analysis. The research sample is 185 retailers-data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results: The results showed that product-based values and relationship-based values positively influenced competitive customer advantage, satisfaction, and loyalty. Conclusions: Relationship value construct can be measured and consist of five dimensions: product quality, delivery performance, customer orientation, service support, and personal interaction. They are key factors that maintain the relationship between principal and retailers. This study indicates that principals must invest more time and effort in building valuable relationships with their retailers. Finally, the value of relationships is a determinant of retailer performance: satisfaction and loyalty.

The purpose of this study was to measure the significance and contribution of sensory appeal, lifestyle, and health motive in determining coffee drink consumption. The theory adopted is the SOR (stimulus-organism-response) theory and the AISAS (attention-interestsearch- action-share) model approach. Data was collected online in April–May 2020, and obtained 413 valid respondent data. The data were processed using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) framework. The results showed that the variable sensory appeal of coffee drinks, lifestyle variables and health motive variables had a significant effect on coffee consumption. Of the 13 hypotheses proposed, nine hypotheses are accepted and four hypotheses are rejected. Sensory appeal has a positive effect on attitude and action of coffee consumption. Lifestyle has a positive effect on attitude, search, and action, whereas health motive has a positive effect on attitude of coffee consumption. Lifestyle variables have the greatest role in determining coffee consumption, followed by health motive variables and sensory appeal of coffee drinks. The SOR theory and the AISAS approach can both be used to analyze coffee drinking behavior. The research suggests that, to increase coffee consumption, a marketing approach should touch the lifestyle of the community and increase the promotion of the health aspects of coffee drinks.
