      • 표면처리 Aramid fiber강화 탄성체의 제조와 그 물성

        The surface of Kevlar fiber with high strength and modulus was treated by recting methacryloyl chloride, and then introduced unsaturated methacryloyl group on the surface. Rubber compound was prepared using the elastomeric gum dissolved in toluene with surface treated Kevlar fiber, and molded to prepare sheet at 140℃, 4MPa. The crosslinking density between Kevlar fiber and rubber matrix according to their interaction, the volume fraction of swollen rubber by solvent was measured from Kraus and Cunnen-Russel equation. In the compound of the rubber reinforced with untreated Kevlar fiber, the volume fraction of the compound was decreased after reaching swelling equilibrium because of low interaction between Kevlar filler and rub-ber. But in the case of treated Kevlar fiber with methacryloyl chloride, the volume fraction of the compound was increased, according to the increasing the amount of Kevlar filler added. From this phenomena it was concluded that the crosslinking between surface treated Kevlar and rubber was increased. Tensile strength of the sheet prepared using rubber compound reinforced with the surface treated Kevlar was increased twice, compared with the untreated Kevlar filled compound.

      • 難燃性 軟質 Polyurethane Foam의 製造에 관한 硏究

        Falme retardant polyurethane foam was prepared by foaming mixed polyether polyol which has different OH value, such as OH No. 56,560,840, etc. with TDI, and added various retard agent to the compounds mixture. As the result of the mechanical and flammability test of the foam, tensile strength and tear resistance were decreased, and compressive strength and flame retardancy were a little increased, as the amount of polyether polyol with higher OH value was incre­ased. The flame retardant agent such as tricresyl phosphate (TCP), Tri (β­chloro ethyl) phosphate(TCEP), PHT_4-diol (PHT_4) and Sb_2O_3 was added to the compounds foaming, and the flammability and the mechanical properties of the foams were measured. As the result of the mechanical and flammability test of the foam increased the various the result of the mechanical and flammability test of the foam increased the various retardant agenciesy, the flammability resuet showed better in the order of PHT_4 TCEP, TCP, and Sb_2O_3, and the mechanical properties were similar to the result in case of the foam prepared with mixed polyether polyol having different OH value with TDI.

      • Siloxane-Polyester공중합물의 합성과 그 열적 특성에 관한 연구

        High molecular weight block copolymer having the structure [(CH_3)_2SiO]_n[O?COO?O]_m prepared from the copolymerization of chloride end blocked polydimethylsiloxane and hydroquinone p-hydroxybenzoate. Siloxane sequence was controlled by employing chloride ended polydimethylsiloxane of diffrent degrees of polymerization. As a result, copolymers ranging in composition from 16% of 58wt% siloxane sequence were synthesized and characterized by IR, NMR, DSC, and TG. Thermal properties of copolymer with 25wt% siloxane unit had the higher thermal degradation temperature, 650∼700℃ than polydimethylsiloxane which degradate at 300∼350℃, but the copolymer had poor solubility.

      • 感光性樹脂에 관한 硏究 : Naphthoquinone-1,2-diazide-5-5-sulfonamide의 合成 Synthesis of Naphthoquinone-1,2-Diazide-5-5-Sulfonamide

        Polymer with photosensitive functional group of quinonediazide, the naphthoquinone-1,2-diazide-5-sulfonamide (PAAND) of polyacryl amide (PAA) was prepared. PAA was polymerized by redox system using ferrous ammonium sulfate-hydrogen peroxide initiator. And also, PAAND was prepared by condensation of PAA with naphthoquinone-1,2-diazide-5-sulfonyl chloride, and the replacement of such a functional group was confirmed by the infrared absorption spectrum and elemental analyses. The good agreement between the observed values of elemental analyes and the calculated values for PAAND, indicated that the degree of polymerization did not change in the course of condensation of PAA with NDSC.

      • Siloxane-Epoxy Copolymer의 合成과 熱的 性質에 관한 硏究 (Ⅰ)

        Oligosiloxane which has molecular weight 900∼1,000 was synthesized from OMCS, and bisphenol A epichlohroydrin polycondensate was synthesized from bisphenol A and epichlohroydrin. The oligosiloxane-epoxy copolymer was prepared through the copolymerization of oligosiloxane and epoxy prepolymer under alkaline acetone solution. The structures of oligomers, copolymer and Si contents to the copolymer were determined by infrared absorption spectra and elemental analysis, and Si content to copolymers was increased according to mole ratio of oligosiloxane to epoxy prepolymer increased. Thermal properties of copolymers and epoxy resin was measured by thermogravimetric analysis. Copolymer with 8.2% Si content had higher degradation temperature 250∼300℃ than epoxy resin which degradated at 80∼100℃, but the copolymer had poor solubility according to Si content increased.

      • 로진 변성 불포화 폴리에스테르의 합성과 그 특성

        Unsaturated diol(UD) was prepared by the esterification of maleic anhydride with diethylene glycol(DEG). Unsaturated polyester modified with rosin(UPMR) was prepared by the reaction of rosin maleic anhydride adduct(RMA) with UD. After Crosslinking UPMR with styrene and methylmethacrylate(MMA), solvent resistance, tensile strength, and adhesion property were measured. UPMR crosslinked with styrene or MMA shows an excellent resistance to water and acid. Solvents resistance and tensile strength for UPMR were more increased when styrene was used as crosslinking agent, because of the crosslinking density being increased. However, adhesion strength of UPMR crosslinked with styrene and MMA were 1.61 MPa and 3.02 MPa respectively.

      • Polydimethylsiloxane-Polyurethane Zwitterionomer의 합성과 그 특성에 관한 연구

        Polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane zwitterionomer was prepared by ionizing polyester type polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane copolymer containing tertiary amine with 1, 3-propane sultone. Unsaturated polyester type polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane copolymer containing tertiary amine was prepared by reacting unsaturated polyester type polydimethylsiloxane polyol with MDI, and then chain extended with N-methyldiethanol amine. Mechanical properties of polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane copolymer and polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane zwitterionomer were measured. The mechanical properties of Polydimethylsiloxane-polyurethane zwitterionomer, Young's modulus increased from 5MPa to 14MPa, tensile strength increased from 3.4MPa to 7.1MPa, while elongation decreased from 115% to 97% because of the increase of bond energy in the hard domains and crystallinity by ionization.

      • Silane 合成에 관한 硏究

        Methyl chloride was synthesized by using the continuous circulation reactor which developed in the Institute of Organo Silicone Compound (ofDAN Kook University), Especially, the experiment was carried out to increase the yield of dimethyl dichloro silane. Metalic silicon crushed to 100 mesh, copper powder <200∼200mech> as catalyst, and, Ni, pb, Mn, Zn, Ca, Al, as auxiliary were mixed, and the amount of catalyst was used 10∼20% in comparison to the metalic silicon. Methyl chloride preheated to 260℃ was supplied to the bottom of the reactor after dried. completely The temperature of the reaction was controlled to 300±10℃ and the pressure in the reactor was 1∼2atm. The yield of dimethyl dichloro silane was good, when the 1st conversion of methyl chloride was less than 58%, and the small amount of the group Ⅰ.Ⅱ. element as auxiliary catalyst was added. The yield of the dimethyl dichloro sllane experimented by the condition was 83%.

      • Silicone처리 纖維에 관한 硏究 : 水酸基를 갖고 있는 纖維의 개질을 중심으로

        The reactivity of hydroxyl group on PVA film, cotton, and silk with alkoxysilane and acetoxysilane was investigated. The reactivity of hydroxyl group on PVA film was increased in the order of Q_m>T_m>D_m and Q_a>T_a>D_a, and the complex treating agents such as D_m/T_m, D_m/O_m, D_a/T_a, D_a/Q_a to cotton and silk fabrics had superior effect to the simple one, such as D_m, T_m, Q_m, D_a, T_a, Q_a. Silicone contents per square centimeter of sample which has water repellency was 0.1㎎ above in PVA film, and 0.2㎎ above in the fabrics. The reaction was completly carried out under the 150∼170℃.

        Synthesis of Rosinimide Modified with Polyphenylpyridinylsiloxane and Its Characteristics

        Rosin maleic anhydride adduct (RMA)-bisester was prepared by the esterification of chlorinated RMA with hydroquinone. Phenylpyridinylcyclot.isiloxane ($D_3^{Ph,Py}$) was synthesized from phenylpyridinyldichlorosilane in the presence of zinc oxide catalyst, and amino group terminated polyphenylpyridinylsiloxane prepolymer was prepared by equilibrium polymerization of $D_3^{Ph,Py}$ with 1,3-bis(3-aminopropyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane. Rosinimide (PSMR) was prepared from the imidization of RMA-bisester with polyphenylpyridinylsiloxane prepolymer at 12$0^{\circ}C$ for 7 h using ${\gamma}$-butyrolactone/pyridine. It showed that PSMR had better thermal stalbility than rosinimide modified with polydimethylsiloxane.
