With the need of multi-access edge computing (MEC) for real-time processing and compatibility between multi-domain edge applications, cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) is gaining attention. MEC applications responsible to provide information to other applications play a key role in performance. Specifically, the latency involved in the process of provisioning the information of virtual on-board units (vOBU) is crucial for the support of MEC use cases. To overcome this, before exposing the location information of a vehicle at edge, the proposed system applies kalman filter prediction on it. Performance results of the prediction module are shown to be accurate and ahead of time, which acts as a basis to support the idea of exposing vehicle information at the edge to support real-time MEC use cases.
