A 44-year-old woman underwent sleeve gastrectomy, which was complicated by a leak. She was treated with two sessions ofendoscopic internal drainage using plastic double-pigtail stents. Her clinical evolution was favorable, but four months after the initialstent placement, she became symptomatic, and a gastrobronchial fistula with the proximal end of the stents invading the diaphragmwas diagnosed. She was treated with antibiotics, plastic stents were removed, and a partially covered metallic esophageal stent wasplaced. Eleven weeks later, the esophageal stent was removed with no evidence of fistula. Inappropriate stent size, position, stentingduration, and persistence of low-grade inflammation could explain the patient’s symptoms and provide a mechanism for gradualmuscle rupture and fistula formation. Although endoscopic internal drainage is usually safe and effective for the management ofpost-laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy leaks, close clinical and radiological follow-up is mandatory.

Portobiliary fistulas are rare but may lead to life-threatening complications. Biliary plastic stent-induced portobiliary fistulas during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography have been described. Herein, we present a case of portal cavernography and recurrent hemobilia after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in which a portobiliary fistula was detected in a patient with portal biliopathy. This likely indicates a change in clinical presentation (from bilhemia to hemobilia) after biliary drainage that was successfully treated by placement of a fully covered, self-expandable metallic stent.
Evaluation of dietary sources of protein on growth performance in pigs
Mohana Devi, S.,Devi, US,Kim, IH INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL FOOD INFORMATION 2014 VETERINARNI MEDICINA -PRAHA- Vol.59 No.5

A 6-week trial was conducted to investigate the effects of animal skin protein sources from swine and cattle on growth performance, body condition and blood characteristics in growing pigs. A total of 96 pigs (23.50 ± 0.61 kg) were randomly allotted into four dietary treatment groups as follows: (1) basal diet (BD); (2) basal diet with 1.5% hydrolysed render meal (HRM); (3) basal diet with 1.5% swine skin meal (SSM); (4) basal diet with 1.5% cattle hide meal (CHM). There were six replicate pens per treatment with four pigs per pen. The average daily gain (ADG) was improved in response to SSM treatment compared with other treatments (P < 0.05). Pigs fed with HRM, SSM and CHM diets showed increases in average daily feed intake (ADFI) and decreased gain-to-feed (G : F) ratios compared with pigs fed with BD (P < 0.05). There were no differences in dry matter (DM), nitrogen (N), and energy (E) digestibility among treatments. The backfat thickness and lean percentage of pigs was unaffected by the treatments. Similarly, there was no difference in blood characteristics among treatments. In conclusion, the supplementation of SSM in growing pig diets improved the growth rate and Feed Intake (FI), but its usage in swine diets is limited by the poor protein quality.

Synthesis and characterization of high phase-purity hydroxy-sodalite zeolite particles
Devi Priyanka Arepalli,Churl-Hee Cho 한국막학회 2017 한국막학회 총회 및 학술발표회 Vol.2017 No.11
Hydroxy sodalite (HS) is reported as high-temperature water separating zeolite membrane because of its small β-cage structure (pore size=2.8Å). HS zeolite particles were synthesized using various experimental set-ups including water bath, oil bath, refluxing and hydrothermal method using a gel composition of 5SiO2:1Al2O3:50Na2O:1000H2O. The morphology, crystallinity and purity of HS particles by changing silica source, temperature and synthesis time were studied. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Particle sizes were increased with increase of temperature (90 °C - 180 °C) and time (2 – 24 h). Pure HS particles were obtained by using conventional hydrothermal synthesis at 120°C for 2h.
Synthesis of Cu-Cu2S Hybrid Microplates and Their Photocatalytic Application
Devi Permatasari Zulkifli,김문호 한국고분자학회 2021 한국고분자학회 학술대회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.46 No.2
Copper (Cu) and copper-based nano/microparticles have recently triggered much research interest for the development of low-cost and high-performance catalysts that have industrial applications. However, oxidation of Cu to CuO is a commonly observed phenomenon when the sample is handled under ambient conditions. In this work, we reported an aqueous-phase synthesis of hybrid metal–semiconductor Cu-Cu₂S microparticles by using Cu microplates templates in a rapid surface sulfidation process while preventing the quick oxidation of Cu monometallic microparticles. The morphology and structure of hybrid Cu-Cu₂S were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The presence of metal and semiconductor in these hybrid structures contributes to improve the photocatalytic properties due to the synergistic effects between the two components.
Genetic Diversity among Indian Oak Tasar Silkworm, Antheraea proylei J. Revealed by ISSR Markers
Devi, Kanghujam Ibsorani,Ponnuvel, Kangayam M.,Singh, Laishram Somen,Singh, Kangjam Chaoba,Dutta, Karabi Korean Society of Sericultural Science 2012 International Journal of Industrial Entomology Vol.24 No.2
The Indian Oak Tasar silkworm, Antheraea proylei J. is a beneficial insect with great economic importance in India for its silk production. In this study, six populations of Antheraea proylei and A. frithi Moore (as an out group) were subjected to inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) marker analysis in order to assess its genetic diversity. Fifteen ISSR primers produced 91 markers among different breeds of A. proylei and A. frithi of which 89 are polymorphic, generating 97.8% polymorphism. The dendrogram constructed using the Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Mean (UPGMA) and cluster analysis made using Nei's genetic distance resulted in the formation of one major group containing four sub-groups separating the breeds. This result suggests that ISSR amplification is potentially useful for molecular characterization of oak tasar silkworm genotypes.
INCLUSION PROPERTIES OF A CLASS OF FUNCTIONS INVOLVING THE DZIOK-SRIVASTAVA OPERATOR
Devi, Satwanti,Srivastava, H.M.,Swaminathan, A. The Kangwon-Kyungki Mathematical Society 2016 한국수학논문집 Vol.24 No.2
In this work, we rst introduce a class of analytic functions involving the Dziok-Srivastava linear operator that generalizes the class of uniformly starlike functions with respect to symmetric points. We then establish the closure of certain well-known integral transforms under this analytic function class. This behaviour leads to various radius results for these integral transforms. Some of the interesting consequences of these results are outlined. Further, the lower bounds for the ratio between the functions f(z) in the class under discussion, their partial sums $f_m(z)$ and the corresponding derivative functions f'(z) and $f^{\prime}_m(z)$ are determined by using the coecient estimates.
