Ceramic 메탈 헬라이드 램프용 Dimming 전자식 안정기 개발

Metal halide (MH) lamps have been largely used due to high luminous efficiency, good color rendering, and long life. Since the metal halide lamps have problems of high ignition voltage and acoustic resonance. Thus, the design of ballast is very difficult for engineers. This paper proposes prototype of electric ballast in order to solve above two problems. The proposed electric ballast is consisted of EMI filter, full wave rectifier circuit, active PFC, DBI(Dual Buck Inverter), dimming circuit and ignitor circuit. The DBI supplies both rectangular voltage and current to the lamp. As the result of the experiment, the acoustic resonance was eliminated and the ignitor circuit was designed to generate high ignition voltage than 5kV. It makes the dimming circuit possible to control the lamp power in range between 230W and 350W

This paper proposed a new optimal design method of the electronic ballast with stable run-up current for Metal Halide lamp during the ignition condition. In order to avoid operation in the acoustic resonance frequency band and to supply the optimal ignition current without demage of inverter switching components during the ignition period, the values of the series inductor Ls, the series capacitor Cs, and the parallel capacitor Cp were determined by analysis of characteristics of inverter transfer function depend on Lamp operating power and resistance of ignition condition and steady state operating condition. For the prototype ballast for a 400W Metal Halide Lamp, experimental results are presented in order to validate the proposed method.

This paper proposes a high efficient Dual Buck Inverter design with a zero voltage switching (ZVS) control technique. The ZVS control is realized by adding a feedback loop circuit which is implemented by simple RS latch and TTL gate. The used load was 200W-Ceramic Metal Halide Lamp. The experimental results show that the proposed Inverter system could avoid the acoustic resonance and achieve high efficiency by Zero Voltage Switching.

LED에 대한 관심과 개발이 지속되고 있는 현재 그 활용이 LCD 패널, 실내 외 조명등 실생활에 많이 이용되고 있다. 특히 실내 조명에서는 적용이 용이 하기 때문에 백열등과 형광등의 대체로 LED를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 실내 조명 에너지 절감을 위하여 백열등 대체용 Triac 조도 제어 POWER LED 구동회로를 소개한다. Triac 위상 제어 회로는 백열등 전용으로 만들어 진 것이 대 다수이고 실내 조도 제어를 위해 많이 설치 되어 있다. Triac 위상 제어를 위한 POWER LED 구동 회로는 에너지 절감은 물론 백열등 대체 시 Triac 위상 제어 회로를 그대로 사용 할 수 있기 때문에 사회 전반에 걸쳐 사용 될 것으로 사료된다.
인버터 구동신호의 주파수 변조에 의한 HID 램프의 음향 공명 감소 기법

This paper proposed one of various acoustic resonance reduction technique for three kinds of ceramic lamps (CDM-150, HCI-150, CMH-150). To reduce the acoustic resonance in the HID lamps, the researched results showed that the frequency modulated signal with the triangle waveform is very effective in order to drive th LCC type half-bridge inverter for HID lamp. Experimental results proved that the acoustic resonance could be rejected, if the adequate switching frequency band is selected and the driving signal frequency is modulated with a triangle waveform.
