인터넷 교육방송에 대한 초등학교 교사의 인식에 관한 연구 : 부산 에듀넷을 중심으로

본 연구는 실시간 학습 및 원격교육을 결합한 교육정보화 모델로 새롭게 부상하고 있는 인터넷 교육방송 중, 부산광역시 교육연구정보원에서 운영하고 있는 부산에듀넷 VOD 인터넷 교육방송의 이용자라고 할 수 있는 초등학교 교사들의 인식 특성을 분석하여 향후 학교 현장에서 요구되는 VOD 동영상 컨텐츠 개발 및 그 활용 방향과 전반적인 운영의 질적 향상 방안을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위함을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산광역시 소재 6개 교육청 초등학교에 근무하는 교사들을 비례 유층표집하고 표집 비율은 5%로 하여 20개 초등학교에 근무하고 있는 남교사 105명, 여교사 394명 총 499명을 대상으로 하였다. 그리고 본 연구에서 적용한 설문지는 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 운영 및 활용에 대한 인식과 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 효과성 부분에 대한 인식 그리고 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 발전가능성에 대한 초등학교 교사들의 인식으로 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 연구 결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 운영실태에 대한 인식은 대체로 모든 교사들이 이러한 교육자원에 대해 알고 있지만, 공식적인 경로를 통해 정보를 접하지는 못하고 있었다. 둘째, 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송 활용은 교수-학습의 간접적인 활용의 형태로 이루어지기를 바라고 있고, 대부분의 교사들은 교수-학습에 활용하기 위한 목적을 가지고 있었다. 셋째, 부산에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 교육적 효과성에 대한 인식은 남교사가 여교사에 비해 더욱 긍정적인 인식을 갖고 있었지만, 학년별, 연령별 차이는 없었다. 넷째, 부산 에듀넷 인터넷 교육방송의 발전가능성에 대한 인식은 대체로 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결론을 통해 몇 가지 제언을 하면, 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교현장에서 BEIB에 대한 홍보와 활용에 관한 직무연수 등의 활발한 노력이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 둘째, 교사들의 현장 활용을 높이기 위해 현재 BEIB에 개발 탑재된 VOD 동영상자료의 목록을 온라인이나 오프라인을 통해 교사들에게 수시로 제공되어져야 하며 접근의 용이성 확보를 위해 VOD 동영상자료의 검색 체제도 메타 데이터에 의한 학교급별, 학년별, 교과목별, 주제별로 좀 더 세분화하여 보다 손쉬운 검색이 되도록 강구되어야 하겠다. 셋째, BEIB의 컨텐츠 유형의 다양화를 통하여 보다 폭넓은 자료 공유의 체제를 구축해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 보다 활발한 인터넷 교육방송에 대한 추후 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. e-Learning이나 원격교육 활용 등, 교수-학습분야에서 인터넷의 영향력이 높아지고 더욱 확대, 적용될 가능성이 있기 때문에 이에 대한 다양한 추후 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to examine how elementary school teachers perceived Edunet run by Busan Educational Research & Information Institute as the users of its VOD services. Since educational webcasting has newly been highlighted as an efficient online education model that features a combination of real-time learning and distance education. The present study intends to extend the knowledge base in the area of developing and managing VOD contents which meet the school needs. The subjects in this study were 499 teachers who worked at 20 elementary schools under the six different school districts in the city of Busan. They were selected by 5% proportional stratified sampling, and included 105 males and 394 females. A survey was conducted with questionnaires to see how they perceived the management, utilization and effectiveness of Busan Edunet and its possibility of development. The findings of the study were as follows: First, as for their awareness of Busan Edunet, all the teachers investigated were cognizant of this sort of educational resources, but they didn't acquire detailed information on that through formal routes. Second, concerning its utilization, they wanted it to be used in a secondhand manner, and most of them intended to apply it to their instructions. Third, as to the effectiveness of Busan Edunet, the male teachers viewed it more favorably than the females, but their age and the school year of their students made no significant differences to their view. Fourth, regarding the possibility of its development, they generally had a high opinion about that. Based on the above-mentioned findings, there are some suggestions: First, school should put more efforts into publicizing BEIB(Buasan Educational Internet Broadcasting) and providing on-the-job training for teachers to learn how to take advantage of it. Second, online or offline information about BEIB's VOD animation contents lists available should be offered to teachers on demand, and an easy-to-use retrieval system should be prepared by using meta-data by school grade, school year, subject and theme to allow teachers to gain easier access to VOD animation materials. Third, in order to diversify BEIB contents, it's required to build an extensive network to share information. Fourth, more intensive research efforts should be dedicated to the field of educational webcasting. As the Internet is expected to have a greater impact on education owing to its unique features including e-learning and distance education, studies of diverse approach should be fulfilled on a long-term basis.
