‘Documentary style, which is said to have presented a new paradigm for modern art after the 1980s, effectively expresses the changing modern social culture and reality based on ontology about the reproduction of photographs and a developed digital technology. A broad spectrum is displayed in its expression method and has thus become the mainstream in contemporary art. It can be viewed as its own style and strategy that appears broadly in the course of configuring the expressive forms of modern art using concept art and post-modernism as its background.

“Documentary style”is a new style and strategy which appeared widely in the process to realize the expression types of modern art based on post-modernism including conceptual art and post-structuralism in order to express the state of a period changed since 1990s. Direct influences were given to neutral photographs which developed through photographic realism and to the expression types of modern archive art which is a new artistic finding in modern art and important artistic practice since 2000’s. The thesis was focused in the trend of the art in such time.

Since the liberation, the ideology that had penetrated throughout Korea`s entire modern history was the anticommunism to the extent of being called “the history of anticommunism ideology conflict” and the anticommunism is something which remains within the subconsciousness of most of our people to operate in a most powerful way. The first thing Park Jung Hee who gained control of government through the May 16th military had advocated was the anticommunism. He had strengthened the anticommunism education of various dimensions while the anticommunism education was accomplished through school curriculum, press media and government agencies. Through the historical fact called Korean War and various methods of education, anticommunism has turned out to display a powerful strength within the awareness of the people. The incident of Lee Seung-Bok getting killed with his family by an armed communist guerilla became a one-in-a-million chance for the government to internalize the sense of anticommunism to the post war generation. Lee Seung-Bok who is the victim of this incident became reborn as a boy hero who had resisted against communist part through the hero-making of the authority so that memorial halls and monuments became constructed while the statue of Lee Seung-Bok was built at the school grounds of elementary schools throughout the country. Within the periodic atmosphere of the Post-Cold War during 1990`s and reconciliation of north and south, the atmosphere of reconciliation between the north and the south rose to a climax. As a result, the Lee Seung-Bok story dealt with in elementary school textbooks became disappeared starting the year 1997 while the Lee Seung-Bok statue that had been built at every school ground of elementary schools as a symbol of ideology created by the authority of Park Jung Hee era has now become a survival of olden days that must be removed. The disappearing statue of Lee Seung-Bok has been recorded as a form of documentary.

문화콘텐츠시대의 영상아카이브를 위한 영상이미지 전문인력 양성의 필요성에 대한 연구

As cultural contents have been recognized as a strategic industry to strengthen national competitiveness, it is being actively promoted to materialize cultural resources by using the traditional culture of each country, nation or areas as a method to ensure the competitive contents. Among them, as a new concept such as ‘cultural archetype’ or ‘unique culture’ is being highlighted in cultural industries, the importance of archives has been stressed to materialize the culture. In addition, with the development of digital technology and changes in the recognition of the importance of video images, the archive is mainly dominated by video images which take the important position. It means that those who have specialty related to video images are not only involved in records of video archive as materials of cultural resources, but their opinions are also needed to examine, analyze, classify and interpret video image materials in the future. At national levels, the government has established the national archives and legislates for the archives of central and local governments with large-scale supports for cultural resources because humanity-centered performance has been considered important. It is based on the awareness in which the success of cultural content industries depends on the variety of materials. It is important to examine the needs for training professional personnel in video images for the video archives in a big flow of discovery of materials and archive of cultural resources through traditional culture and cultural archetype in the cultural content industry as a national strategic industry.

The culture of stone has appeared as various shapes and also remains to any race to the extent of being said that the history of human race was started from the stone. the stone was remained as countless pieces of work on this earth as transcendental symbol at times, magnificent or refined models at times and beautiful sculptures at times. As buddhism has been adopted at the latter period of age of Three Kingdoms, the agnificent stone structures of buddhism were mass produced. The stone art has reached a mature stage encountering this time period and the peak of stone art has been reached during unified Shilla. Most magnificent artworks of Korean stone art such as Seokuram and Dabotap have been made at this time. The buddhism the end of age of Three Kingdoms and Joseon dynasty had encountered a sudden decline due to buddhism repression policy while the stone art of buddhist style had also suddenly shrunk so that the stone structures based on royal tombs are being handed down by forming a mainstream. Since the latter half of 1990`s, China is taking up the first place in the entire stone manufacturing industry such as manufacture, consumption and export in the field of stone manufacturing industry while rising as the powerful nation of world`s building stone exports. The situation is that the dependence toward stone products made in China is getting higher. Although the quality gets better than Chinese product if the rough stone is brought in and processed in our country, the cost of manufacture can only go up. Therefore, the stone market of our country has become a structure of having to bring in inexpensive Chinese made finished products and fell as the retailer of Chinese stone market. As the inexpensive stone structures were brought in as from of finished products from China, the reality is that they are quickly replacing the tomb stone structures of our country. We who have given up stone construction culture by a justification called stone manufacturing industry got to lose the brilliant tracks of stone tower structures in the past as well as the creative insight and technology tower stone tower art. This thesis has recorded the situation of our country`s tomb stone structures being replaced as the Chinese produced inexpensive finished products were brought in by mass quantity along with collapse of stone industry in our country while trying to examine the examples of cultural change through changes of tomb stone construction styles.
