Air washer remove dust on the air and use for humidification. But the last should be applied to the semiconductor and FPD industry, air washer has focused on removing pollutants. In addition, air washer within the clean room remove the pollutants as well as use for humidification in Winter. However, there is no research in the country, and for research purposes, the evaluation was conducted by atomizing water temperature variation and L/G variation. Performance evaluation results are the same conditions as the entrance of air washers (23 ℃, 45%RH). Cooling effect is enhanced when atomizing water temperature is lower. The larger the performance of humidification to L/G lower the temperature increases.

Extrusion formed ceramic honeycomb for De-NOx via selective catalytic reduction (SCR) was developed using the powder containing mainly TiO₂, Al₂O₃ and V₂O5. The plasticity of dough and the catalytic activity of honeycomb were evaluated as function of various forming additives. The optimum organic contents of water, MC and PEG for this system were 40, 3.5 and 3.5 part, respectively, with respect to the weight of starting powder. An extruded honeycomb was dried in the chamber controllable humidity and temperature. The stepwise drying process with the drying time longer than 10 days was developed to prevent any cracking. One inch honeycomb with cell density of 35cpsi was successfully dried prior to firing. The product showed a nearly 98% catalytic activity in a wide temperature range from 250℃ to 450℃ and significant strength. The processing developed in this study can be applied in manufacturing the SCR catalyst support for both stationary and moving NOx sources such as marine engine.

다공성 세라믹 기질에 제올라이트의 코팅은 기체 분리용 membrane으로 매우 효과적이다. 수열합성법으로 NaX 제올라이트를 다공성 cordierite와 cordierite, mullite 복합기질의 표면에 코팅하는 과정에서 H_2O/Al_2O_3 몰비를 500, 1000으로 증가시키면서 코팅 특성의 변화와 코팅 속도를 측정한 결과 몰비가 감소할수록 코팅층에 NaA 제올라이트의 존재비가 증가하였으며, 코팅층의 형성 속도는 증가하였다. H_2O/Al_2O_3 1000 몰에서는 반응 9일에 매우 치밀하고 균일한 NaX 제올라이트 코팅층을 얻을 수 있었으며, H_2O/Al_2O_3 1000몰에서는 반응3일에서 1000 몰의 9일과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
