This study investigated the detail differences on the body fat distribution, blood concentration of lipid profiles (TC,LDL-C, HDL-C, and TG), leptin, and FFA following to subtype of obesity. In the comparison between two groups by regional obesity. %fat and BMI showed the similar results between men and women, but blood concentrations of overall lipid profiles showed the differences. Men showed no significant difference of all items except of HDL-C between non-obese and obese group, but blood level of lipid profiles in women showed a significant difference between two groups. In the comparison of blood FFA and leptin concentration between non-obese and obese group, the difference showed between men and women. And women showed a significant (P<0.05) higher blood leptin level than men. Abdominal obese group (indicator: WHR) showed a higher level of blood lipid profiles with regard to CVD risk factors than the other groups. Especially. these negative effects of women showed a results as compared with men, and the population ratio of abdominal obese in women showed a higher values than men.

We studied the comparison of blood concentration of lipid profiles and leptin, bone density, body fatness and fat distribution between obese and non-obese women. Abdomen and thigh fat area of obese women showed a higher values than non-obese women. but it was no significance. VSR of both grous a level above 0.4 as limit threshold of visceral obesity. Bone density of lumbar and femoral head in obese women showed a significant (p<O.05) higher levels than non-obese women. Blood levels of leptin, TC, TG, and LDL-C in obcse women showed a significant (p<0.05) higher values than non-obese women. BMI was significantly correlated with body weight. bone density, blood leptin and lipid levels. Blood leptin level was significantly correlated with body fat volume. In these results, obesewomen showed a serious levels of blood lipid profile as CVD risk factors, and visceral fat was found the over-concentration in both obese and non-obese women. And we could reconfirm the relationship of BMI with blood leptin concentration and bone density. but it was not found the relationship between blood leptin level and bone density.
