K-AGT Bogie has a rubber wheels and side guide. Side guide type has a many merits but occur a vibration and friction through contact between guide rail and guide wheel. Present max speed of operation is 60㎞/h. We start study for improved a max speed of operation to 70㎞/h. Most of point that decreased comport is vibration through the guide contact. So we make the improved guide part of two types (Spring and Rubber Type). In this study, we modeling with CATIA and conducted a dynamic analysis with ADAMS. Finally, we optimized guide rail spring with simulation using the ADAMS.

K-AGT Bogie is a rail car with rubber wheels while common rail Bogie has a iron wheel, and side guide type. so K-AGT has more contact between side guide rail and guide wheel than common rail. It is generated by vibration and friction through the contact. In this study, we make the improvement guide of two types (Spring and Rubber Type) and test. Test was performed with 3 Types of Original, Spring and rubber type and at a speed of 5 steps (30㎞, 50㎞, 60㎞, 70㎞, 80㎞). Sensor was attached to the guide, front part and rear part. In the result, RMS. value was reduced about 12% and natural frequency of car body about 20㎐ did.
