Tire is a very important part of automobile because it supports entire automobile weight. As well, it characterizes major tire and automobile performances. Here, we intend to analyse contact pressure characteristics of tire by using neural algorithm. The tire analysis includes very difficult issues such as contact treatment, nonlinear material behavior and 3D analysis for contact pressure, and which requires considerably long CPU time. In order to minimize the numerical analysis cost, we employ a neural network for learning the tire contact pressure behavior.

The aircraft tires usually have severe operating constrains requiring high speed, high loads, high inflation pressure and so on. These conditions are causes of very high tire wear rate. So, we need to develop technologies which are related with the estimation of tread wear life for improving aircraft tire. This paper proposes the estimation method of tread wear life through the wear equations, frictional energy rate, and assumption of operational impact rate on wear. The frictional equations for tread wear of aircraft tire are obtained by Lab. wear test. The frictional energy rates with respect to velocities of aircraft tires are calculated by finite element analysis. These results and operational impact rate on wear are used to estimation of tread wear life of aircraft tire.
