This paper describes the result of wearing test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to evaluate an amount of wearing for EMU"s pan to shoes. Panto shoes are affected in wearing by environment owing to expose the vehicle. Especially, the rainy season, they are found easy to get an increase in wearing of panto shoes. To evaluate an amount of wearing, we carried out running test for 5 months under the ground line conditions.

It is very difficult to analyze the dynamic characteristic because tilting vehicle is a very complex system which are connected various mass element with tilting system. To realize and analyze actual phenomenon has restriction that usual commercial software calculates creep force under creep theory about wheel ?rail contact mechanism as basic analyzing, and approach about contact point are based on two dimensional non-linear contact theory and simplified Hertzian contact which considers just displacement change on the YZ plain. Therefore, to solve these problems there should be a new approach difference with existing one. In this research, a new algorithm for finding wheel-rail contact position, calculation method of contact force and applied force will be presented.

In order to facilitate technical exchange among nations and/or institutes through the establishment of mutual recognition and the reliability guarantee of testing results by testing standards standardization, the interlaboratory comparison tests on brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS were conducted. So far, two ways of comparison tests were performed for a better understanding of mutual recognition and standardization in railroad brake linings between Korea and China. In this paper, the first and second comparison testing results have been summarized, and the suggestions for the future research work are also presented to encourage extensive research on comparison study of railroad brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS.Eventually, the final goal of the current research will be the establishment of standardization of railroad testing standards.
철도차량용 LED전조등의 수명시험 장비구축을 위한 기초설계

본 논문에서는 철도차량용 100만 칸델라급 LED전조등의 수명시험 장비구축을 위한 기초 설계안을 제안한다. 시험요구조건은 LED광원에 대한 LED제조업체들의 방대한 수명시험 데이터를 근거로 북미조명학회에서 발간한 LM-80-08을 따른다. 시료 수량은 TM-21-11 기준으로 장기 수명 예측에 활용하기 위해 최소 10개 이상을 사용한다. 또한 구축된 시험장비는 최소 6,000시간 동안 광속유지율을 측정할 수 있고 동시에 측정장비의 정션 온도와 공급 전류를 측정 기간 동안 유지해야 한다. 제안한 설계안은 제품 양산 이전에 측정데이터 수집과 수명예측을 위한 기본 시험장비 개발에 기여하며, 향후 철도차량의 사용환경을 반영한 심층연구가 수행되어야 한다. This paper proposes the fundamental design of lifetime test system for light emitting diode (LED) headlight with the luminous intensity of 1 million candela (CD) on a rail vehicle. The test procedure and requirements are referred to by LM-80-08 based on numerous experimental data of LED source from LED luminaire manufacturers, published by Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). It aimed to introduce experimental procedure for lamp lumen maintenance factor (LLMF) of LED sources. At least 10 specimens are used for utilizing long lifetime prediction recommended by TM-21-11. And the experimental test system according to proposed design could continuously measure the LLMT for at least 6000 hours, while the current and junction temperature of device should be maintained at specific value or kept lower. The proposed design could be contributed to develop basic test system for obtaining measurement data and predicting lifetime before its product launch. And deep study on test system considering practical conditions of a rolling stock should be carried out in the future.
도시철도차량의 다층 구조물 부식 측정을 위한 비파괴 기법 연구

THE CARBODY AND BOGIE FRAME OF AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE CONSIST OF MULTI-LAYERED WELDING STRUCTURE. IN KOREA ENDURANCE LIMIT OF AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE IS STSTED IN THE RULE OF MANAGING URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE UNDER THE LAW OF URBAN RAILWAY. IN KOREA AN URBAN RAILWAY VEHICLE IS DESIGNED AND MADE TO KEEP ITS QUALITY OVER 25 YEARS. WHEN THE RAILWAY VEHICLE BECOMES 25 YEARS OLD CORROSION OF CARBODY AND UNDER FRAME OF A RAILWAY VEHICLE IS EVALUATED ACCORDING TO THE NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. IT CAN BE USED AS LONG AS 40 YEARS. IT IS STATED IN THE ARTICLE 4'THE METHOD AND STANDARDS OF PRECISE DIAGNOSIS' UNDER THE RULE OF MANAGING RAILWAY VEHICLE IN KOREA. SO IN THIS STUDY WE HAVE INVESTIGATED PERFORMANCE OF PULSED EDDY CURRENT TESTING METHOD BY MEASURING THICKNESS VARIATION OF FABRICATE OF CARBODY AND UNDER FRAME FOR URBAN RAILROAD CAR. AND THEM THE PROCESS OF EVALUATING REMAINING LIFE ACCORDING TO TESTING OF CORROSION AMOUNT IS INTRODUCED.
