UMM을 이용한 광산업 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 사례연구

이 연구는 ebXML에서 권고하는 UMM(Unified Modeling Methodology)을 이용하여 광산업 A사의 사례연구를 통해 비즈니스 프로세스를 모델링하고자 하는 것이다. 우선 기존의 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 방법론과 비교하여 UMM의 장점을 고찰하였다. 둘째, 광산업 A사 전체의 비즈니스 프로세스를 개념적으로 모델링하고, 그 중에서 구매관리 프로세스를 UMM에 적용하였다. 광산업 A사의 비즈니스 프로세스 분석을 위해 비즈니스 프로세스 관련 담당자들과 심층인터뷰하였으며, 재평가 및 재확인을 통해 모델링되었다. UMM의 구조에 따라 광산업 A사의 구매관리 프로세스를 유즈케이스 다이어그램, 활동 다이어그램, 클래스 다이어그램, 순차 다이어그램으로 표현하였으며, 마지막 실행단계는 구매요구서를 XML문서로 매핑하였다. UMM을 적용하여 개발된 구매관리 프로세스 모델들은 광산업 표준 비즈니스 프로세스의 작성 예로써 활용될 수 있고, 관련 담당자들간 커뮤니케이션 활성화와 공유를 통한 협업도모의 도구로 활용되었다. This case study introduces the business process for the photonics industry using the UMM recommended in the ebXML. First, the strength of the UMM was described by comparing it with other business process modeling methodologies. Second, the procurement management process of the phogonics industry was modeled in detail using the UMM. For the business process analysis of the photonics industry, we interviewed business process designers and procurement managers of the A corporation, a member of the photonics industry, in-depth. The procurement management process of the A corporation, according to the UMM structure was represented using a use-case diagram, activity diagram, class diagram, and a sequence diagram. Execution was modeled by mapping the procurement requirement document using XML. The developed procurement management process models using the UMM can be used as a sample for all the standard business processes for the photonics industry. It can be used for improved communication between the procurement manager and business process designer.

Even after tremendous effort on software productivity enhancement, actually no proper project evaluation was in presence up until today. On this thesis, I have developed a criteria tool for evaluation on software production enhancement. For this tool, I have implemented functional point as primary production guideline, FP/MM or W/FP has been utilized for fundamental productivity index and for FP calculation method, the IFPUG guidance has been applied. In addition to that, based upon the results on SI division, project division, size and productivity using developed index, no significant difference in productivity level was found on respective entities. However, it happened to be as a project size increases its production level decreases.
