포스트 코로나시대 공연예술 국제교류 경험에 관한 연구 : 무용예술가를 중심으로

본 연구에서는 팬데믹 전, 후 공연예술가들의 국제교류 경험에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 포스트 코로나시대 공연예술현장에서의 문제점을 확인하고 향후 공연예술 국제교류의 가능성을 탐색한다. 이를 위하여, 8년 이상 국제교류 경험이 있는 무용 예술가들을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행한 뒤, 현상학적 접근을 통해 인터뷰 내용을 분석하고, 그들의 경험에서 현재의 문제점과 미래의 가능성을 톺아보았다. 연구결과, 현장 공연과 온라인 공연 사이의 괴리, 예술가와 예술행정가 간의 수평적 협력 부족, 지원형식의 유연성 부족, 더욱 높아진 국제교류 진입장벽이라는 문제점이 확인되었다. 현장에서 제시된 해결방안은 현장공연과 온라인 공연의 균형적 지원, 예술가와 예술행정가간의 유연한 소통 노력 필요, 다양하고 창의적인 국제교류 방식의 실험 및 적용, 국제교류 관련 정보과 교육의 제공 확대로 정리될 수 있었다. 본 연구는 포스트 코로나시대 국제교류에 대한 문제점과 해결방안을 현장 무용예술가들의 목소리를 바탕으로 탐색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. This study explores the primary issues in international performing arts exchange in the post-COVID-19 era. In our in-depth interviews with dance artists, each with over eight years of experience in international exchange before and after the pandemic, we witnessed the challenges and opportunities posed by the current pandemic situation. We used phenomenological methods to analyze the interview data. Our analysis revealed four problems: (1) the gap between live performance and recorded online performance; (2) the lack of equitable collaboration between artists and arts administrators; (3) the lack of diverse approaches and forms of support; and (4) the increase in barriers to international performing arts exchange. Our findings suggest countermeasures, such as: (1) balanced support both for live performance and online performance; (2) more flexible communication between artists and administrators; (3) adoption of more diverse and creative modes of international exchange; and (4) provision of training and education to promote artists’ access to and mobility in international artistic exchange.
