        현대중국어 ‘在’처소구문의 인지적 특징과 부정

        장가원(??源) 한국중국어교육학회 2021 중국어교육과연구 Vol.- No.33

This paper discusses the most common structures of zai locative sentences in modern Chinese: “NP+PP+V/VP”(type A) and “NP+V+PP ”(type B). It’s important to clarify the different semantics of the two structures, because the different phenomena in the negative sentences caused by their different semantics. The different image schemas are formed in the process of conceptualization for type A and type B. Type A is a new concept integrated by PP and V/VP. In the process of integration, PP becomes the ground of the final image, while V/VP becomes the profile. Because the profile is a part of the ground, when the speaker expresses negation, he negates all the parts of the final image, not just one part. So the negative scope is all the parts after the negative marker. But when the negative marker locates in front of the V/VP, the V/VP will be in the scope of the negation. Unlike type A, type B is a new concept formed by the fusion of V and PP. In the process of fusion, the verb has lost parts of its energy, resulting in a static image schema, which highlights the scene of PP, while V is almost covered. Therefore, when negating this image, the position of the negative marker is fixed, so there is only one way of negation. This paper studies the semantics of zai locative sentences and the negative scope of negative marker in modern Chinese from a new perspective, hoping to achieve a bigger breakthrough in the future research.
