This study aimed to investigate the flow pattern and heat transfer characteristics in a shell and plate heat exchanger. The commercial CFD code (ANSYS CFX software, Ver. 18.0) was used with the shear stress transport model. The temperature changes on the plate-side and shell-side domains mainly occurred around the plate-side inlet port, and frictional pressure drops occurred gradually across the entire computational domains. In addition, the thermal performance factor with the corrugation depth of 2.5 mm was the highest compared with those of 2.0 mm and 3.0 mm.

본 연구는 한국 장노년의 고혈압 진단 여부와 인지기능 간의 관계에서 규칙적 운동의 조절효과를 규명하는데 목적을 두고있다. 한국노동연구원에서 조사한 제7차 고령화패널연구 데이터를 활용하여 본 연구에서 살펴보는 변수에 모두 응답한 55세 이상장노년 총 6,536명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 조절효과 분석을 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 고혈압은 인지기능과 정적관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 규칙적 운동을 하는 집단에서 더 높은 인지기능 수준을 보였다. 또한, 규칙적 운동을 하는 집단에서고혈압 진단 여부에 따른 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 고혈압을 앓고 있더라도 규칙적 운동을 통해 높은 수준의 인지기능을유지할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 치매의 조절 가능한 위험요인인 고혈압에 대응하기 위한 개입방안으로서규칙적 신체활동의 중요성을 강조한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating effect of regular exercise on the relationship between hypertension and cognitive function among Korean older adults. Drawn from the 2018 Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA), a total of 6,536 subjects aged 55 and older who responded to all the variables examined in this study were included in analyses. Hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to examine moderating effects of regular exercise on the relation between hypertension and cognitive function. After adjustment for covariates, older adults with hypertension reported better cognitive function and those doing regular exercise showed better cognitive function than their counterparts. The interaction between hypertension and regular exercise was significant only for those doing regular exercise(p<.01). The findings highlight the importance of regular exercise as an intervention for mitigating the association between hypertension and cognitive decline.

Polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell with short-side-chain (SSC) membrane has been widely studied due to its higher proton conductivity, crystallinity, and glass transition temperature. However, most researches on SSC membrane are confined into experimental study, and more specific analysis should be conducted through numerical study. In this study, SSC membrane PEM fuel cell simulations were conducted with a steady-state three-dimensional model. The proton conductivity of the SSC membrane was expressed as a function of temperature and water uptake based on the existing measurements. To validate the SSC model, the simulation results were compared with the experimental data in the literature. The simulation results were consistent with the experimental data within ±7.1% deviation. The cell performance increased with increasing operating temperature and the optimal relative humidity of reactant gases was 75%.
