유·무인도서의 산림공간분포 현황 및 경관지수를 이용한 파편화 분석

본 연구는 우리나라 도서산림에 대한 관리방안 수립을 위한 기초자료 제공을 목적으로 수행하였다. 우리나라 도서산림의 분석을 위하여 국립산림과학원에서 제작한 도서산림구분도를 이용하여 유인도서와 무인도서의 현황을 분석하였으며, 도서산림의 공간적 특성을 정량적으로 분석하기 위하여 경관지수를 이용하여 도서산림의 파편화 정도를 분석하였다. 우리나라 무인도서와 유인도서의 현황을 분석한 결과, 전체 도서의 수는 3,949개이며, 무인도서 3,454개, 유인도서 495개로 무인도서가 유인도서 보다 약 7배 많이 분포하였다. 0.5ha 이상의 산림면적을 포함하고 있는 유· 무인도서는 전체 1,633개이며, 이 중 무인도서는 1,150개, 유인도서는 483개가 분포하여 무인도서가 약 2.4배 높게 분포하였다. 도서 1개 당 산림공간(객체) 분포는 무인도서가 평균 1.0개, 유인도서는 평균 9.6개로 유인도서가 도서 1개당 산림공간(객체)의 분포가 무인도서보다 높았다. 유· 무인도서 산림의 파편화 분석결과, 양적인 분석에서 유인도서의 총 면적은 약 21.5만ha로 무인도서(약 5.8천ha) 보다 약 37.1배 높았으며, 패치수도 유인도서가 5,646개로 무인도서(1,191개) 보다 4.7배 높았다. 평균패치 크기는 유인도서가 39.1ha로 무인도서(4.8ha) 보다 약 8.1배가 높았다. 유인도서의 산림은 무인도서 보다 객체수가 많을 뿐만 아니라 1개의 산림공간(객체)의 크기도 넓었다. 모양지수를 통한 산림공간(객체)의 형태 복잡도를 분석한 결과, 총 경계부 길이는 유인도서가 약 18.6만km로 무인도서(1.2백km) 보다 약 15.3배 높았으며, 면적가중 평균모양지수, 평균모양지수도 유인도서가 각각 약 2.1배, 1.3배 높았다. 본 연구를 통하여 유인도서는 무인도서와 비교하여 산림의 공간적 분포가 넓으며, 산림파편화가 진행되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 유인도서와 무인도서의 산림분포에 대한 현황과 공간적 특성에 대하여 정량적 판단이 가능하였으며, 이는 유· 무인도서에 대한 차별화된 산림관리 방안 마련을 위한 기초자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다. This study was carried out for the purpose of identifying the status and characteristics of forests distributed on the islands, targeting inhabited and uninhabited islands distributed in Korea, and evaluating island forests using the landscape index. The data for the analysis of forests on inhabited and uninhabited islands in Korea were used using the island forest classification map produced by the National Institute of Forest Sciences. The total number of islands in Korea is 3,949, with 3,454 uninhabited islands and 495 populated islands. Among the uninhabited islands, according to the definition of forests in Korea, there are a total of 1,633 uninhabited and uninhabited islands with forests containing a forest area of 0.5 ha or more, and the distribution of uninhabited islands is about 2.4 times higher. As for the distribution of forest space per island, the average of uninhabited islands was 1.0 and the average of inhabited islands was 9.6, showing a high distribution of forest space (objects) per island. Looking at the spatial characteristics of inhabited and uninhabited islands through the landscape index, the TA(Total Area) of inhabited islands was about 215,000 ha, which was about 37.1 times higher than that of uninhabited islands (about 5.8 thousand ha), and NP(Number of Patches) was 5,646, which was higher than that of uninhabited islands (1,191). 4.7 times higher. The MPS(Mean Patch Size) was 39.1ha, which was about 8.1 times higher than that of the uninhabited islands (4.8ha). Forests on inhabited islands not only had more populations than uninhabited islands, but also had one larger forest area. TE(Total Edge) was about 186,000 km, which was 15.3 times higher than that of uninhabited islands (1.2100 km), AWMSI(Area Weighted Mean Shape Index) was 2.1 times and MSI was 1.3 times higher. Through this study, the characteristics and spatial distribution differences of inhabited and uninhabited islands could be known, and it could be used as basic data for preparing differentiated forest management plans for inhabited and uninhabited islands.
