The high efficiency full-bridge LLC resonant converter using a contact-less transformer is proposed for the photovoltaic power generation system. For the series resonance with a series capacitor, the LLC resonant converter utilizes the leakage inductance and magnetizing inductance of a contact-less transformer. Unlike the conventional series resonant converter operated to the continuous resonant current at above resonance frequency, the proposed converter operates to the discontinuous resonant current at the narrow frequency control range below resonance frequency. Due to the discontinuous mode resonant current, the proposed converter can be achieved the zero voltage switching (ZVS) in the primary switches and the zero current switching (ZCS) in the secondary rectification diodes without any auxiliary circuit. In this paper, the experimental results of the proposed full-bridge LLC resonant converter using a contact-less transformer are verified on the simulation based on the theoretical analysis and the 150W experimental prototype.

The contactless power supply system for photovoltaic power genetration is constructed. The power supply system for photovoltaic power generation is composed of buck-boost converter for battery charging and resonant converter for the contact-less power transfer and buck converter. This converter has inherently several advantages such as zero voltage switching(ZVS) of switches in the primary and zero current switching(ZCS) of the rectified diodes in the secondary without any auxiliary circuit. we constructed the prototype of buck-boost convert er with 400W output capacity and resonant converter with 200W output capacity and buck converter with 100W output capacity.

Comparing with the conventional transformer without the air gap, a contact-less transformer with the large air-gap (4.8㎝) between the long primary winding and the secondary winding has the increased leakage inductance and the reduced magnetizing inductance. By the increased leakage inductance and the reduced magnetizing inductance on the primary of the contact-less transformer, a good deal of the primary current circulates through magnetizing inductance, which results in a massive loss in contact-less power supply (CPS). In this paper, the efficiency characteristics of the contact-less power supply using a series resonant converter is analyzed and simulated.

For transferring the primary power to the secondary one, the high frequency series resonant converter has been widely used for the contactless power supply system. However, the high frequency series resonant converter has the disadvantages such as the low efficiency, the high voltage gain characteristics and deviation of the phase angle in the overall load range. To improve this disadvantage, In this paper, the characteristics of the high efficiency and unit voltage gain as well as inphase are revealed in the proposed three-level LCLC ( Inductor - Capacitor - Inductor - Capacitor)resonant converter. The results are verified on the simulation based on the theoretical analysis and the 4kW experimental prototype.

Recently, the high frequency boost DC-DC converter has been widely used for the PCS system because of its small size and low cost. In this paper, the experimental results of the boost DC/DC converter using LLC series resonant converter are verified on the simulation based on the theoretical analysis and the 1㎾ experimental prototype.

An 8㎾ L-Type boost dc/dc converter using a non-dissipative snubber is presented. L-Type boost converter is used to increase low input voltage (24VDC) to the isolated high output voltage (250VDC) and is selected because of its low switch counts, low conduction loss, simple transformer structure with low turns ratio and easy operation. In addition, due to the use of a non-dissipative snubber on the primary side, a L-Type boost converter has a significant reduction of switching losses in the main switching devices. he complete operating principles, analysis and experimental results in this paper are described.

To improve the efficiency characteristics in the resonant converter using the contact-less power supply with the large air-gap and the long primary winding, this paper suggests the three-level series-parallel resonant converter(SPRC). The voltage gain characteristics of the proposed converter have the unit gain in a resonance frequency point of the series and parallel, and input voltage and current in the primary of SPRC are always in phase for the all equivalent load resistance because of the parallel resonant tank of the high impedance. The results are verified on the simulation based on the theoretical analysis and the 4kW experimental prototype.

High density power supply has been researched over the last few years. To achieve high density power supply, the series resonant converter has been steadily applied. In this paper, the half-bridge series resonant converter using the integrated LLCT (Inductor-Inductor-Capacitor-Transformer) planar transformer is described. the structure of the high density LLCT planar transformer is analysed. as well as the experimental results are verified on the simulation based on the theoretical analysis and the 300W experimental prototype.

최근 PDP Display 시장은 해를 거듭 할수록 가격 경쟁이 치열해 지고 있다. 그에 따라 PSU(Power Supply Unit) 모듈의 저 가격화 및 경량화가 요구되고 있고, 요구조건을 만족하기 위해 여러 출력을 하나로 통합화 하는 다 출력 구조의 변압기가 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 서스테인 전원부(Vs)와 어드레스 전원부(Va), 그리고 Multi 18V전원부(Vm)를 하나의 변압기에 일체화 하였다. 그리고 어드레스 전원부(Va)와 Multi 18V 전원부(Vm)의 부하 추가에 따라 서스테인 전원부(Vs)의 전압 이득 특성 및 공진특성 변화를 확인하였다. 또한 다 출력 LLC 직렬공진 컨버터 설계 시 고려사항과 동작 특성으로 42인치 HD PDP 전원에 적용하여 검증한 결과에 대하여 서술 하였다.
