With the intention of preparing cation exchangers from the domestic coals, and using these for softening hard water and some other purposes, seven kinds of raw coal were tested and the results are as follows. 1) The following conditions of preparation were given the good results. Reaction time 5 hours Reaction temperature $95^{\circ}$ Concentration of sulfuric acid 98% Amount of sulfuric acid 10 times to the sample (as weight) 2) The raw coals which is rich in fixed carbon and have the fuel ratio 0.8 to 1.0 were suitable, and Kampo lignite has shown the best results. 3) The cation exchangers from coals were able to exchange the cation, both hydrogen and sodium type dynamically and statically, like the synthetic ion exchange resin. The exchange capacities were as follows. Total capacity 1.60 meq/g. Breakthrough capacity 1.30 meq/g. Usable breakthrough capacity 1.20 meq/g National Central Research laboratory

For manufacturing upper housing product of mechanical control valve, the progressive drawing process was conducted experimental. Then, the center of the product was cut to measure the thickness of the product. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. By means of a stand-alone pad provided with sufficient pressure, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of wrinkles in the die pad product of the drawing process. As a result of the experiment, it was considered that the flange bottom of the product and the lower edge of the product are made thick in thickness, the top edge and the top surface are thin. It is considered that this is due to the size and roughness of the entrance edge radius of the die in the drawing process, and the inflow of the material by the die pad.
요인분석법을 이용한 파인 블랭킹 공정의 파단면 최소화에 관한 연구

The Fine Blanking process is an effective precision shearing process that can obtain a smooth cutting surface and high product precision through a single blanking process. It is widely used in various manufacturing fields. However, shearing through this fine blanking process is only intended to minimize burrs, die rolls and fracture surfaces and does not completely remove them. Therefore, it is necessary to study the minimization of burrs, die rolls and fracture surfaces in the fine blanking process. In this study, a study was conducted on the relationship between the fracture surface and process conditions that occurred during product production using the fine blanking process. For this purpose, the shape of the V-ring indenter, the distance to the punch, and the pressure force, clearance, shear rate, and physical properties of the material were selected as process and design variables, and the relationship with the fracture surface according to each process and design condition was tested. It was analyzed through the Experimental Design Method.
