The difference of DRM(Digital Road Map) from general GIS(Geo-spatial Information System) is made of a varied layer and attribute information with link, node, administrative area, water area, background, search data, etc. of hierarchy structure converted by topological vector data. This study aims at processing the DRM on mobile system and producing the automatic landmark arrangement strategies of landmark to adapt arbitrary screen property of navigation system. To do this, this study has considered the restricted screen of mobile system. To accomplish the two objectives, the four tasks were performed in this study. First, the DRM system and property for produced road and background network were described. Second, the automatic arrangement algorithm and software, which were suggested by in this paper, with effective display of the DRM were designed and developed. Third, the DRM for mobile CNS(Car Navigation System) was applied. Especially, the efforts for the presented in this study are expected that new automatic arrangement strategies of the suggested display data and the result would be able to use processing the DRM on mobile system.
