Two experimental apparatus, for measuring the COP of air-conditioning cycle and estimating the reliabilities applying the nano-fluids into the cycle, were designed and made. The air-conditioning cycle components in the apparatus are purchased like as YF hybrid model. The apparatus for measuring the COP of air-conditioning cycle is designed to measure the compressor power and evaporator heat capacity. So, the compressor power will measure using power meter and the evaporator heat capacity have to measure the inlet-outlet temperature, pressure, and mass flow rate using the flow meter. And the nano-fluids to apply the cycle were chosen as A12O3, TiO2, and CuO. So, the apparatus for estimating the reliabilities applying the nano-fluids into the cycle was consisted of 4 cycles, respectively for base and three nano-fluids. The 2<SUP>nd</SUP> apparatus will operate during about 2.2 years to reveal the performance characteristics including compressor power and running results, temperature and pressure.
High temperature flow behavior of extruded ZK60A alloy

Tensile tests were conducted on a continuous-casted ZK 60A after extrusion at a range of strain rates at temperatures from 473 to 623K. It is shown that the alloy exhibits a quasi-superplastic behavior with a maximum recorded elongation of ~250% at 523K when testing with an initial strain rate of 1.0 x 10<SUP>-5</SUP> s<SUP>-l</SUP>. The experiments give a strain rate sensitivity of ~0.3-0.4 and an activation energy of ~108 kJ/mol. From the investigation, a high-temperature flow of the ZK 60A is controlled by a dislocation viscous glide process.

To apply the nanofluids into the general vapor compression cycle, basically have to know the thermal properties including thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity. And needs to show the dispersion characteristics for various nanofluids and concentrations. So, firstly this study showed experimentally the thermal properties for various concentration (0.1%~0.7%, as mass balance) and temperature(20℃~40℃) on Al₂O₃, TiO₂ and CuO nanofluids using base fluid as POE oil that has used in the scroll compressor for various refrigeration system. From the results, the dynamic viscosity of nanofluids was considerably changed from the base POE oil. And, the dispersion characteristics of various nanofluids using the simple methods like as analyzing the RGB value or measuring the sinking height of nanofluids were showed experimentally. Through the results, the dispersion characteristics of Al₂O₃, nanofluid was better than those of TiO₂, and CuO nanofluids not considering the real refrigeration cycle running conditions.

There have been strong demands for micro size screw with high precision due to miniaturization and integration trends for electronic products such as Hard Disk Drives. The thread rolling process for screw manufacturing are lower unit cost, reduced material utilization, and superior mechanical properties compared to the machining process. But little work has been done on the thread rolling of micro size screw. In this paper, we investigate thread rolling process using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and parameter study for screw. In this paper, we investigate thread rolling process using Finite obtain the material property and to implement into the FE tool for the numerical simulation. In case that parameter of relative position of dies is half length of pitch for maintaining the continuous thread profiles, we found that shear friction factor was 0.9 during the thread rolling process using FEA. We are trying to develop the thread rolling process using the FE-simulation to manufacture screws which have been commonly produced from the industrial level fabrication at present.
전동 스크롤압축기의 운전rpm에 따른 냉동사이클의 성능에 대한 실험적 연구

An experimental study was performed estimating COP(Coefficient of Performance) of air-conditioning cycle with inverter scroll compressor. All experiments were done for various compressor speeds from 1000∼4000 rpm and used the inverter controller called CANDy to change the compressor rpm. The air-conditioning cycle components in the apparatus were used as same with components of YF hybrid car. To estimate the COP, this study measured the temperature and pressure at inlets and outlets of compressor, condenser, and evaporator. And also measured the compressor input power using Powermeter. Through the experiments, the maximum error to estimate COP was shown about ±6.09% at 3500rpm. This study revealed that the condenser temperature and pressure were increased and the evaporator temperature and pressure were decreased with the increased compressor speed. And also, the COP was decreased with increased compressor speed. Those results can be used the basic and fundamental data to design the air-conditioning cycle with inverter scroll compressor.
마이크로 스크류 성형해석을 위한 소재의 유동응력 모델 고찰

This paper deals with the typical evaluation of hardening models of ANSI410 stainless steels for the thread rolling simulation of micro-screws. Comparison tests of the material were firstly carried out in order to obtain the stress-strain curves. The curves were then interpolated with Ludwick equation and Hockett-Sherby equation. Interpolation results indicates that Hockett-Sherby model provide relatively well description for the hardening behavior of ANSI 410 steel. Both simulations and experiments were finally conducted to verity the hardening equation. The results fully demonstrate that Hockett-Sherby model is more suitable for the FE simulation of thread rolling process for ANSI 410 micro-screws.
