In this paper focuses on introduce ultrasonic testing method to measuring torque-tension test of Wheel fastener. By contrast with some sensors for measuring tension-compression, Ultrasonic testing method is non-destructive test that is not necessary test sample machining. So, the yield strength and prooflaod of bolts doesn’t become weaken. If we use machined sample, we will get lower yieldstrength and proof load than data from not machined sample. And We can measure the clamp load drop as time passes. Also with ultrasonic testing method we can apply test to real car. Get more stable result than other method. Because We can consider the friction, when we use ultrasonic method.

In this paper focuses on compare three torque tension measuring methods for Wheel fastener. By comparison with these method, find merits and weakness each method. Torque tension tests are performed to compare these methods and find merit and weakness for each section. Preparation, measuring method, application and result(stable or not). Furthermore, find the appropriate method for wheel fastener reuse test.

Improvement for noise and chatter is studied by using torque-angle graph through an experiment with issued joint. Vibration during bolt tightening is generally called chatter based on self-excited vibration. Chatter induced by friction is measured by torque converter during bolt tightening. Sharp fluctuation in torque-angle curve is seen when the chatter occurs. Slope change of torque-angle curve is caused by interference between bolt and nut. The test with bolt applied friction coefficient shows that the noise is affected by friction coefficient on surface.

This paper focuses on some improved effects on applying ultrasonic testing method to measuring the preload of bolt for clevis-type joint. By contrast with the existing sensors for measuring tension-compression, Ultrasonic testing method is non-destructive test that is unnecessary to make test sample machined. Due to not machined test samples, the yield strength and prooflaod of bolts doesn’t become weaken. Also with applying ultrasonic testing method we can measure bolt preload for clevis-type joint, so we can reduce clamping load loss of clevis-type joint with consideration of gap between bracket and inner sleeve. Therefore, considering several advantages of ultrasonic testing method, it is highly recommended to use this test method for measuring tension data of clevis-type joint.

A transparent poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) optical micro-pyramid array-pattern is designed and fabricated using an injection modeling technique. The device’s optical characteristics are tested and analyzed theoretically. In the optical pattern generated using the fabricated PMMA pattern, the components, due to not only refraction but also diffraction, are observed simultaneously. Wave optic modeling and analysis reveals that the energy ratio between the diffraction and refraction in the optical pattern are dependent on the critical dimension of the optical pattern such that refraction and diffraction tend to be directly and inversely proportional to the pattern dimension, respectively.
