실험 계획법을 이용한 Knee Bolster System의 민감도 분석

Knee bolster system, composed of knee bolster reinforcement and U brackets, is designed against knee impact<br/> regulation (FMVSS208). FEM is effective in improving system performance in design stages. In this study, the<br/> performance sensitivities of U brackets (energy absorption) and knee bolster reinforcement are analyzed using DOE<br/> and FEM. 5 main factors are selected and designmatrix of DOE is built using 3-level orthogonal arrays. Femur loads<br/> and knee intrusion displacements are calculated by FEM in each case. From the FEM results, sensitivities are<br/> evaluated. KIP index (Knee Impact Performance Index) is introduced to defined knee impact performance with<br/> respect to system mass (cost). Using this KIP index, optimization level of a system can be compared more<br/> objectively.
