        Full-mouth rehabilitation by immediate implantation combined with orthognathic surgery: a clinical report

        악교정 수술과 임플란트 보철을 통한 전악재건술의 임상적 치료는 보철과 의사에게 도전적인 과제이다. 본 증례는 골격적 부조화를 가진 다발성 우식증 환자의 진단과 치료에 있어서 치의학의 여러 분야의 협진을 보여주었다. 그 결과로 악교정 수술을 동반한 발치 후 즉시 임플란트 식립 및 조기 하중을 가하는 임플란트 보철물에 의한 전악 재건이 예견가능하고 효과적인 치료 방법이었기에 이를 보고하고자 한다. Clinical therapy that combines full-mouth rehabilitation with immediate implantation and orthognathic surgery poses a challenge to prosthodontists. This clinical report describes a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of a patient presenting with skeletal discrepancy and rampant caries. The results thus achieved indicate that full-mouth rehabilitation by fixed immediate and early loading implantation accompanied by orthognathic surgery can be a predictable and effective treatment procedure.

        코로나19 팬데믹시대 노인건강유지를 위한 실내운동기구 디자인제안

        코로나19시대의 고령자의 운동부족과 우울증세를 예방하고 활기차고 건강한 생활을 위한 기기를 제안한다. 특히 1인 가구의 고령자의 실태를 조사·분석하고 고령자들의 운동실태와 코로나의 영향으로 일어날 수 있는 건강상태를 조사하였다. 이를 위해 노인들의 운동 실태와 건강상의 문제점 등을 조사하였다. 조사와 분석들을 통하여 실내운동기기를 아이디어 제안을 하고 이에 맞는 샘플을 제안하는 것으로 하였다. 그 대상 제품은 DDR개념의 운동기구와 유니버설디자인의 원칙과 원리를 활용하여 디자인을 제안하였다. This study proposed exercise equipment for preventing the lack of exercise and depression of the elderly in the age of COVID-19 and leading a lively and healthy life. In particular, it investigated and analyzed the actual condition of the elderly in single-person households and surveyed the exercise condition of the elderly and their health status that might occur due to the influence of COVID-19. For this purpose, it investigated the exercise status and health problems of the elderly. It proposed the idea of indoor exercise equipment and the design suitable for it through research and analysis. It proposed the design of the target product by using the DDR-concept exercise equipment and the principles and principles of universal design.

        소아비만의 효과적인 접근을 위한 문헌적 고찰 -1996~2007년 국외 논문을 중심으로

        This study was designed to collect the latest papers and to find more effective approach for childhood obesity. Methods : We searched 107 papers in English from Pubmed(www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) and selected 52 in favor of our study. In addition to that, we searched 29 papers in Chinese from www.cnki.net. Results are as follows. Results and Conclusions : There are not completely new treatments for childhood obesity. Instead of that, many studies aimed for prevention through family education, nutrition education, and exercises education. Specially, because some diseases including hypertension, diabetes and heart disease are connected with obese children, medication can be prescribed optionally. In that case, their mental health must be laid emphasis. And in China, TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) is very common treatment for childhood obesity. Acupuncture, herb medication and manual therapy could be used usefully. It is suggested that above latest treatments can be combined with Korean traditional treatments method in treating obese children.

        소나무재선충 생물학적 방제를 위한 Bacillus licheniformis MH48의 선발 및 특성 규명

        Pine wilt disease (PWD) caused by pine wood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, has become the most serious threat to pine trees in Korea. This study was subjected to investigate effective biological control agent against PWD. To select nematocidal bacteria against PWD, Bacillus licheniformis MH48 was selected among five bacteria due to its high nematocidal potential. B. licheniformis MH48 was tested for cell growth and protease activity to evaluate its nematicidal potential. In the B. licheniformis MH48, cell numbers were highest three days after incubation, while protease activity was highest after seven days. In the effect of different concentrations of B. licheniformis MH48 culture broth against B. xylophilus, 20% concentration of culture broth showed approximately 80% of pine wood nematode mortality compared to the control. Especially, pine wood nematode``s cuticle layers were degraded two days after treatment of B. licheniformis MH48 culture broth. The present study suggests that B. licheniformis MH48 can be one of the potential biocontrol candidates against pine wood nematode due to its ability to produce protease.
