유아 통일교육과 유아 민주시민교육에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식 연구

본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 하는 통일교육과 민주시민교육에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식을 알아보았다. 연구대상은 충청도와 전라도 지역에 소재한 유치원의 교사 200명이다. 설문지는 2개 영역으로 각 5개 항목으로 구성되었으며, 교사의 배경변인에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 교사들은 유아 통일교육과 민주시민교육의 필요성을 느끼고 있었으며, 유아의 발달수준에 맞도록 교육내용이 계획되어야 하고 이야기 나누기 시간에 토의를 유도해서 수업활동을 이끌어 가야한다고 하였다. 그러나 실제 수업에 적용하는데 어려움이 있어 교사연구 등을 통해 인식의 부재를 해소해야 한다는 요구가 있었으며 이러한 인식과 요구는 교사의 배경변인에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. The purpose of this study was to investigate teacher's awareness of reunification-education. and democratic civic-education for young children. To achieve this purpose. the subjects were 110 kindergarten teachers who lived in Chung-Cheongdo and Jeon-Lado. A questionnaire was developed and used for the collection of data. The questionnaire was divided 2 areas(reunification-education, democratic civic-education) and 5 items(necessity, content, method, difficulty and need for program related to reunification-education. and democratic civic-education). Chi square tests were used to find out the significant differences between institutions, teacher's educational backgrounds and teacher's educational careers. Results of the study are summarized as follows: first, teachers were aware of the necessity for reunification-education and democratic civic-education for young children. Second, contents teachers recognized importantly were reconciliation and cooperation for reunification education and dignity of mankind for democratic civic-education. Third, method teachers recognized importantly was in small groups activity method both reunification-education and democratic civic-education. Forth, difficulties teachers recognized importantly were teaching method both reunification-education and democratic civic-education. Fifth, needs for program teachers recognized importantly were education for teachers, systematic program, effected method of teaching, material support and administrative support both reunification-education and democratic civic-education.
