Hot water gained from the solar collector installed on the roof could have a wide use as a heat source for replacing a conventional air-conditioner by combining some devices. One of those is to adopt it into a solar desiccant cooling/heating system enable to generate the heating and cooling effect through the two processes. One is for regenerating and the other for dehumidifying process. In this experiment, two devices for each process purpose were fabricated and installed in the mechanical room. The experiments were conducted with 4 sheets solar collectors and both processes of regenerating and dehumidifying were operated outside simultaneously under fine weather. In this paper, the results of its performance were described.

The final energy consumption in the building sector in Korea represents almost 20% of the total energy consumption. Besides, Space heating and hot water generation in Korea are based on fossil fuels, with a serious environmental impact. This study describes thermal performance of heating demonstration system using close-loop ground source beat pump installed at Korean minjok leadership academy. The results of the experimental study, it retrieve the investment cost for 3years 8months and reduction amount of CO₂ are 293,900 ㎏CO₂.
CFD를 이용한 태양열온수기 적용 냉난방시스템의 성능추산

This paper has been conducted to estimate cooling capacity of the dehumidification tower using hot water from a solar water heating system as a energy source of regeneration process when the dehumidification and drying system is applied to room cooling. A solar water heating system was operated and indoor temperature distuributions were simulated according to weather conditions when the concernted solution was used to dehumidify room air in the duhumidification tower. From the simulation results, it was found that the case of rainy day showed the best result and pre-cooling took about 2 hours to get cooling effect considering room temperature distribution only, through humidity was not calcualted in each case.
태양열온수기 적용 냉/난방시스템 실제 운전 시의 냉방성능에 관한 연구

Solar desiccant cooling system makes cooling load of the chamber less and also gives high performance compare to that of the conventional air-conditioner driven from the electricity. There are many methods to estimate the COP of cooling effect of the air conditioner, but it is not popular because of the difficulty completing its whole system. In this paper, a special system for evaluating its performance was completed and operated directly. Furthermore, the experiments were conducted with 4 sheets solar collectors and dehumidifying process were operated outside under fine weather in August. In this paper, the results of the analysis on the COP of cooling effect were described.
