땜빵용 강사의 처우, 교사계급 그리고 수업 열정: 중등학교 시간제 강사를 대상으로

본 연구의 목적은 중등학교 시간제 강사의 처우와 근무조건에 대한 불만을 탐색하고 교사계급 구조와 학교문화의 모습을 살펴보는 것이었다. 연구목적을 위해 중등학교 시간제 강사 14명을 대상으로 개별심층면담을 실시하였다. 면담을 통해 수집된 자료는 처우, 학교문화, 계급화, 새로운 꿈 등으로 분류 및 분석되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시간제 강사는 정규직 교사와 동일하게 수업을 하지만 시급으로 제한되어 있다는 점에 대하여 불만을 가졌다. 둘째, 4대 보험이 적용되지 않는다는 점에서 시간제 강사는 다칠 권리도 없는 강사라는 인식을 갖고 있었다. 셋째, 상여금이나 학교 마음대로 실시한 휴강에 대한 보상조차 없는 처우에 대하여 불만이 강하였다. 넷째, 학교에서 정규직 교사, 기간제 교사, 시간제 강사의 세 계급이 구분되었고, 이로 인하여 자신의 권리를 표현하지 못하는 상황에 있었다. 다섯째, 시간제 강사로서 제한된 처우에 실망하지만, 교육자로서의 역할에는 최선을 다하고자 하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to explore part-time lecturers’ dissatisfaction with treatment and working conditions and investigate class and culture of school based on the dissatisfaction. For the purpose, qualitative data collected from 14 part-time lecturers by in-depth interviews. Content analysis was conducted for analyzing the data. The results were as follows: first, part-time lecturers complained with small hourly wage despite equal work with full-time lecturers. Second, part-time lecturers called themselves as lecturers having the right to hurt because 4 major insurances not covered. Third, part-time lecturers also complained with no bonus and no reward for lectures canceled by school. Forth, there were 3 structure(full-time, temporary, and part-time) of teacher’s class And part-time lecture could not express their rights. Fifth, in spite of dissatisfaction with treatment, part-time lecture wanted to do their best for lecture. Based on the results, discussions and implications were suggested.
