Objective: The aim of this study is to investigation of stroke evaluation methodology and related factors through the literature review for prediction of pre-symptom. Background: Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and remains an important health burden both for individuals and for national healthcare systems The incidence rate of stroke is rapidly increasing due to aging phenomenon and incidence aging are diversifying. Thus, the research of stroke prediction is preemptively necessary. Method: Procedures of literature reviews are classified in to six step such as 1) Choosing the target databases), 2) Selecting the keyword in the last 10 years, 3) Evaluation of titles, 4) Evaluation the abstract, 5) Available full-test articles, 6) evaluation methodology and related factors review and arrangement. Results: In summary of previous studies, studies of evaluation stroke diagnosis and symptom level are divided in to Questionnaire evaluation, Behavioral Characteristics evaluation, Individual characteristics evaluation, Physiological characteristics evaluation. Conclusion: We investigated the stroke evaluation methodology and related factors through literature review. This information can be utilized as a practical information for the study related with stroke evaluation and prediction. Application: The results of this study can be used as basic data for the variables needed to evaluate stroke.
이동식 틀비계 사용 작업 시 작업대 높이, 안전난간 유무, 숙련도에 따른 척추 안정성 분석

The purpose of this study is to analyze the spine stability by comparing muscle activation in various scaffold working conditions. The independent working conditions were designed by two levels of working height, existence and absence of safety handrail, and the two levels of expertise. The corresponding activities of the agonist and antagonist muscles of spine were simultaneously recorded by using EMG. As results, novice worker showed increased muscle activity while doing the task on the 2nd floor, absence of handrail. And expert showed the increase of co-contraction while working on the 2nd floor without handrail. Such co-contraction was found to increase the spine stability when the working condition become risky. On the other hand, the co-contraction was prolonged, the spine muscle fatique and disc pressure could be increased, which would increase the risk of musculo-skeletal disorder. The results of co-contraction in this study indicates that the motor control system responds to maintain the stability of the spine particularly when workers cognitively recognize the danger of falling or imbalance. This study also quantitatively accounted for the biomechanical cause of LBP among workers who has to prevent themselves from falling. Therefore, if can be said that safe environment preventing falling can also prevent workers from MSDs as well. Such knowledge can be applied to design ergonomic workplace environment as well as movable scaffold.
재해사례를 기반으로 한 사고유형별 산업안전보건법의 실태조사

Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of accidents on the basis of industrial accidents cases, to identify the cause of each type of accidents, and then to understand the occupational safety and health act related to the causes. Background: Improving and advancing the effectiveness of the occupational safety and health act is the most fundamental improvement activity for industrial accident prevention. In order to enhance the effectiveness of the occupational safety and health act, it is necessary to clearly investigate the current status and characteristics of industrial accidents in Korea and to reflect them. Method: This study was conducted based on the cases of domestic industrial accidents provided by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Examples of industrial accidents were randomly selected from accidents cases occurring in 2010-2016 in machinery, electricity, chemicals, and construction. Results: Fall accidents accounted for about 20.0% of the total accidents, followed by explosion 14.4%, pitting 12.8%, and electric shock 11.3%. The occupational safety and health act, according to the cause, showed the highest proportion of items related to Chapter 4, hazard risk prevention action. Second, safety and health education noncompliance was high (23.5%). Conclusion: The purpose of this study is to investigate the occupational safety and health act which is deemed to be highly related to the cause of accident by summarizing the types of accidents, causes of accidents and causal factors. In order to revise and redefine the occupational safety and health act, it is necessary to have a database that can be used to build data on violations of the occupational safety and health act. Application: The results of this study can be utilized as a methodology for the revision of the occupational safety and health act.
User Experience를 고려한 자동차 전조등 설계 방안

The aim of study is to suggest the design procedure of automobile headlamp by considering driver's experience in regard of the visibility and glare during nighttime driving. The characteristics of driver were investigated in terms of the drivers' cognitive ability and reaction time, headlamp specification and visibility, light source and glare. And, the degree of visual discomfort was categorized and recognized as a tool to represent the subjective user experience. The UX point of view was stated when the existing results were seemingly lacking of it. The visual comfort and safety of elderly drivers were also discussed by reviewing the studies of ageing regarding the visibility and driving responses. Finally, this study suggested how to reduce the negative effect of nighttime driving due to the height of headlamp, angle of lighting, color spectrum, discomfort glare, source of light by using the UX perspective and methodology.

본 연구의 목표는 사용자에게 적합한 매트리스를 선택하는데 도움을 주는 신체적, 심리적 지표를 개발하고, 이를 분석하여 개인의 주관적 만족도와의 상관성을 알아보는 것이다. 시중에 판매되고 있는 5개의 매트리스의 강도를 2개씩 짝지어진 매트리스별 pared t-test를 통하여 강도별 순위를 5등급으로 분류하였다. 10명의 실험 참가자들의 신체적 지표(근전도, 심박수, 산소포화도 측정), 심리적 지표(개인 특성 설문 조사), 체압 및 주관적 만족도 측정을 실시하고, 상관분석을 통해서 이 측정결과와 개인간 주관적 만족도(선호하는 침대의 탄성)와도 일관성이 있는지 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 압력집중도(r=0.818)과 허리근육이완도(r=0.766) 그리고 심박수(r=0.670)가 주관적 만족도와 유의한 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
휴대전화와 MP3에 사용되는 Wheel Navigation Key의 사용성 평가

The aim of the study is to investigate the usability of wheel navigation key(WNK) recently adopted for the new models of mobile phone and MP3 product. In this study, an experiment was designed to evaluate the functional benefit of WNK by using a performance test. A questionnaire was also used to examine the personal preference. In results, a significant difference was found in performance time between wheel-type and button-type product. In general, the difference was more significant as subject's skill level was higher. In particular, the performance time was significantly shortened with the WNK when a searching task was required, but push button was an effective interface for simple search task among beginners. Therefore, the wheel navigation key can be used to improve the usability of product by reducing the searching time in mobile phone and mp3. For practical application, the user's level of skill needs to be considered to maximize the effect of interface when choosing WNK or push button.

Objective: To develop a BARAW (By Avoiding Repetitive motions, Awkward postures and Weights) tool which can be applied to assess and improve the musculoskeletal discomfort and pain associated with nursing service workers. Background: Most of existing MSDs assessment tools were developed to investigate the repetitive works commonly found in manufacturing industry. A new approach is needed to assess such non-repetitive works as those done by nurses. Method: As the first step of developing BARAW tools, we investigated the existing assessment tools and guidelines for nurses. And then, BARAW tools were developed based on the results of the expert interview. Based on FGI (Focus group interview) and literature review, a questionnaire was developed to investigate the causes of the musculoskeletal discomfort and pain. Reliability of the questionnaire was tested. Results: The procedure of using the BARAW tool is as follows; 1) finding the cause of discomfort and pain 2) finding possible interventions, 3) implementation of the interventions, 4) evaluation of BARAW’s effectiveness, 5) feedback. Very high reliabilities were obtained from the test. Conclusion: It was shown that BARAW tool developed in this research is a readily applicable to the works of nurses. Application: BARAW tool could be extended to other non-repetitive works.
