평등 가족시대에 가부장적 육친론(六親論)의 재해석-가족에서 처(妻)를 중심으로-

본 연구는 고대 가부장제의 가족관인 육친론에서 아내(妻)를 남편(夫)의 재산으로 간주하는 ‘처재(妻財)’의 개념을 현대사회에 맞게 재해석하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 연구방법은 생태 페미니즘 관점으로 살펴보았다. 생태페미니즘은 가부장제를 거부하고 남녀평등을 주창하는 현대에서 가장 주목받는 이론이다. 연구 결과, 『육친론』은 천년이 지나 오늘날까지 이어져 내려오며 여전히 ‘처(妻)는 남편(夫)의 재산인 처재(妻財)’로 해석하고 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 남녀평등을 추구하는 생태페미니즘 관점에서 ‘처(妻)’는 한 인간으로서의 주체성을 인정하는 ‘배려’와 다양성을 인정하는 ‘존중’의 대상으로 재해석하였다. 이와 같은 ‘처재’의 현대적 재해석은 학문적 제도권에서 처음인 만큼 이를 마중물 삼아 육친론을 본격적으로 재조명하는 것이 향후 과제이다. 이를 위하여 고전의 해석에 있어서 유연성 있는 열린 자세를 가지고 임할 것을 제언한다. The purpose of this study is to reinterpret the treatment Chejae(妻財) of the wife as the husband’s property in Yukchin theory(六親論). For this purpose, I have looked into ecological feminism. Ecological feminism is one of the most popular theories in modernity, which reject patriarchy and advocate gender equality. As a result of the research, Yukchin theory has still been interpreted wife as the husband’s property until today. Therefore, this study reinterprets the interpretation of wife in modern perspective as follows. Wife is the subject of ‘consideration’ that acknowledges subjectivity as a human being, and subject of ‘respect’ that acknowledges diversity as a human being. Therefore, this study raises modification of interpretation of Chejae in view of gender equality. The future task is to reexamine the Yukchin theory in earnest with the suggestion of modification of interpretation. For this, classical interpretation suggests openness of flexibility according to the flexibility of modern family.
