A numerical and experimental analysis on the membrane humidifier for PEM(Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell is presented in this work. Some parameters such as flow channel width, height and number are considered and studied by applying CFD analysis. From these results, the shape in the humidifier is optimized and tested by experiment. Nafion 115 is adopted as membrane material and the number of layers is 50. The conditions in residential fuel cell are applied to the experimental conditions. From the experiment, approach temperature 7.4 ℃, consuming power 9.1 W and R.H in the outlet of the humidifier 100% are obtained.
