It is important to improve the energy performance in the industrial sector, and therefore most of the manufacturing companies need the energy performance indicators to identify the target and to verify the energy savings. However, the conventional energy performance indicators such as the total energy consumption and the energy intensity are not proper to use. The reason is that they do not consider adequate relevant variables including productions in the boundary of the manufacturing companies. Therefore, the study provides the advanced energy performance indicator using by the linear regression model according to each energy source to manage the target and to verify the energy performance properly.

The fuel economy of vehicles is a concern for policy makers, vehicle manufacturers and consumers. Among all, consumers need fuel economy information to make informed decisions about their vehicle purchase and use. This study explores whether fuel economy is closely related with cumulative mileage. The fuel economy data based on 4 different mileage conditions are measured by testing eight vehicles on two drive cycles(FTP-75 and HWFET) in accordance with government test method. One-way ANOVA and paired t-test are used to analyze and compare relationships between cumulative mileage and fuel economy. It is difficult to ascertain if cumulative mileage can cause negative effects to fuel economy in the results.
자동차 에너지소비효율등급 체계 현안 분석 및 개편방안 연구

국내에서 수송부문이 차지하는 에너지소비량은 전체의 20%로서 수송부문의 에너지효율 개선은 매우 중요한 사안이다. 자동차 에너지소비효율 제도는 이런 문제를 효율적으로 해결할 수 있는 좋은 수단이다. 본 연구는 현재 다양한 현안 문제로 정부가 자동차 에너지소비효율등급 체계를 개편해야만 하는 시점에서 기술적, 데이터 분석적 접근 방법을 토대로 최적의 에너지소비효율등급 체계 개편 방안을 제시해 보았다. 새롭게 제안된 자동차 에너지소비효율등급 체계로 개편되었을 때의 개인적 가치는 연간 약 50만원으로 나타났고, 국가적 차원에서는 연간 230천toe의 연료절감효과가 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 등급 체계 개편은 연비측정방법 변경, 5-cycle 보정식 적용 등을 고려하여 도출된 결과이다. It is very important to improve energy efficiency in transport sector, because it accounts for 20% of total final energy consumption. The vehicle energy economy program is useful measures to solve the problem effectively. Recently the government has been forced the reform of the vehicle fuel economy rating with the various requirements. So the study suggests the resonable solution to the government as technical and analytical approaching method. Using the newly suggested fuel economy rating system, the estimated value of individual benefit will be 500 thousand won and the effect of fuel saving will be 0.23M toe at the state level. It has to be also considered the change of the fuel economy metrics, 5-cycle adjusted equation, etc. for the reform of the vehicle fuel economy rating system.
단축시험방법을 이용한 전기자동차의 에너지효율 측정 연구

The outlook for electric vehicle sales is bright. IEA expects that around 250 million electric vehicles would be sold globally as a 30% sales share in 2030. EV technology has progressed significantly with dramatic sales since debut. That means we are now able to get EVs with a range of up to 500 km on the market. It is good to have news for consumers, on the other hand, others are not always. The problem is that EVs with the longer range need more time to test the energy efficiency and range based on SAE J1634. SAE recommends MCT(Multi-cycle Test) is better than SCT(Single-cycle Test) to avoid the long test time to measure the energy efficiency and range of EVs. However, it is still time-consuming because the present methodology basically needs the vehicle’s battery energy is completely exhausted. The main purpose of this study is to improve the present time-consuming test methodology. This study proposes better methodology with two ways, SPT1 and SPT2, to reduce the test time astonishingly as the vehicle’s battery energy could be partially discharged. Therefore, SPT1 and SPT2 call for only two UDDS and one HFEDS as the essential driving modes on the test sequence. The test results show SPT2 looks like more proper method than SPT1 to reduce the test time with the similar test results on MCT, and then it was statistically verified by the paired two sample t-test.
