미용 산업이 급속도로 발전되면서 색채의 활용 또한 무한한 발전을 보이고 있으며 색채에 의한 이미지 연출은 미용분야에서 무시할 수 없는 부분으로 자리 잡고 있다. 헤어 미용에서 색채와 관련된 분야는 염색분야로서 색채를 사용하고 있음에도 일반적인 색채 표기법을 따르지 않고 있다. 이는 헤어 미용이라는 특수성으로 생각될 수 있으나 색채를 다루는 모든 분야와의 커뮤니케이션을 단절시키는 문제점이 제기된다. 또한 미용 현장에서 고객과의 색채 상담에 있어서 일반적인 색채 표기법을 따르고 있지 않기 때문에 정확한 전달에 어려움이 발생된다. 이러한 문제점이 제기되고 있기에 본 연구는 현재 사용되어지고 있는 염색제 표기법을 먼셀 표기법과 KS 계통색이름에 의한 표기방법을 제안하기 위한 기초 자료로 염색제 색채의 객관적인 자료 수집을 위하여 미용 현장에서 고객과 상담 시 기준으로 사용되어지고 있는 염색 차트를 시료로 사용하였다. 그리고 컬러미터로 측색한 결과는 Color Data Software CM-s100w Spectra Magic NX Ver. 1.5를 사용하여 Lab값을 먼셀 표기법으로 전환하여 먼저 분석한 후 기술표준원의 한국색채표준 디지털 팔레트(KSCP Korea Standard Color Palette)를 사용하여 KS 한국산업규격에 의한 계통색명과 관용색명의 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 염색제는 먼셀 10색상에서 Red, Yellow Red, Yellow, Purple Blue, Purple, Red Purple 의 색채 분포를 나타냈다. 둘째, 중명도에서 저명도의 명도범위와 중채도에서 저채도의 채도범위의 분포를 나타내고 있으며, 염색차트에서 표기하는 명도단계와 측정 후 먼셀 표기법에 의해 나타난 명도의 범위가 다름을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 염색 차트에 표기된 색상의 경우 측정 후 먼셀표기법과 대부분 비슷한 의미로 해석할 수 있는 인접색의 색채로 나타났고, 정확히 일치하는 색채도 나타났다. 그리고 측정 후 색상 명도, 채도가 거의 동일한 색의 경우 색간의 구별을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 먼셀 표기법을 병행하는 것이 바람직 할 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 현재 사용되어지고 있는 염색제 표기법이 먼셀표기법과 KS 계통색명의 적용이 가능함을 알 수 있어 먼셀 표기법과 병행하여 표기하는 것을 제안하며 헤어염색분야의 특수성으로 간과하기 보다는 색채를 다루는 전문성의 관점으로 접근했다는 것에 대하여 앞으로의 헤어염색분야의 다양한 연구에 좋은 사례가 될 것으로 생각되며, 본 연구를 시작으로 추후 심화된 연구를 기대해 본다. With the rapid growth of the beauty industry, the use of color has been unlimitedly developed and image presentation by color has been settled in an important place in the beauty field. However, the color-related area of the hair beauty industry does not follow a general color notation system, although it uses color for dyeing. It can be thought as specialty of hair beauty but may raise a problem of the lack of communication with all fields that deal with color. Also as it does not follow a general color notation system in color advice to customers, it is difficult to convey a correct idea. Therefore, this study used a dye chart used to advise customers in the field as a sample to collect objective information of colorant color to provide basic information to change the present hair colorant notation into a new notation system using the Munsell color notation and KS systematic color name. For the results measured by a color meter, lab value converted by the Munsell color notation was analyzed using color data software CM-s100w spectra magic NX Ver. 1.5 and then systemic colors and usual colors were analyzed by Koran Standards using Korea Standard Color Palette(KSCP) by Korean Agency for Technology and Standards(KATS). The results are as follows. First, hair colorant had hair distribution of red, yellow red, yellow, purple blue, purple, and red purple in 10 Munsell colors. Second, while its range was from mid to low hair value and from mid to low chroma, and it was found that the difference of the brightness range exhibited by the Munsell notation and measurements indicated in the chart brightness dyeing step. Third, for most measures indicated in the dyeing and Munsell color chart notation appeared in the colors of adjacent colors that can be interpreted in a similar sense, even color that exactly matches found. The results suggest that the present hair colorant system can be replaced to the Munsell color notation and KS systematic color name. Since this study was conducted from a professional viewpoint which addresses color rather than from the specialty of the hair dyeing field, it is expected that this study will be a good example for various study on hair dyeing and contribute to more in-depth study.
