2011년도 덕성여자대학교 신입생 및 그 가정의 제반 특성을 파악하기 위해 인적 사항, 가정 환경, 경제 사정, 입학 만족도, 대학 생활, 가치관, 상담 받고 싶은 분야, 원하는 특강 주제 등에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 신입생 1448명 중 응답자 1043명의 자료를 분석하여 각 문항 별로 신입생 전체는 물론 각 학부의 응답 빈도 및 비율을 제시하였다. 분석 결과 대다수의 학생들이 수도 권 지역의 고등학교를 졸업하였으며 중산층 이상의 가정 출신으로, 대부분 부모가 모두 생존해 계시고 고졸 이상의 학력을 가지고 계심을 알 수 있었다. 학생 들은 장래 취업을 준비하기 위해 대학에 진학했다고 답한 경우가 많았으며 진로와 취업에 큰 관심을 가지고 있었고 대학생활에서 가장 하고 싶은 일로 취업 준비를 꼽았다. 이 외에도 대학별 특징 및 이전 년도와의 비교 등 중요한 결과들을 요약하였고, 그 결과들이 시사한 바를 제언하였다. A survey research was carried out among the 2011 freshmen of Duksung Women's University in order to collect data on their demographic facts, family environment, economic status, satisfaction with the university, campus life, values, areas in which they want to receive counseling services, special lecture topics of interest, and others. Out of 1448 freshmen, the data of 1043 who completed the survey were analyzed. The frequency and percentage of the answers for each question are shown according to each college. As the results, a majority of the freshmen graduated a high school in or near Seoul and were from a middle class. In most cases, both of the parents were alive with an educational degree of at least high school. For the students, the greatest motive for entering university was to get a job, and their greatest interest both during and after university years lied in career development. Characteristics of different colleges and comparisons with previous years are also presented. Based on the results, implications and suggestions are discussed.
