UN-GRPE Particulate Measurement Programme (PMP) is a collaborative programme operating under the auspices of the UNECE/GRPE Group. Its focus is on the development of a new approach to the measurement of particle in vehicle exhaust emissions, which may be used to replace or to complement the existing mass based system used for regulatory purposes. In this study, we evaluated the various factor effected on the particle measurement in heavy duty diesel engine. In addition to regulated gaseous emissions, the real time particle emission was simultaneously measured with CPC, and EEPS on the WHSC mode. CVS tunnel bacground was effected on the PM, however was not effected on the PN. CVS tunnel flow rate and dilution factor was not effected on the PM and PN. On the ESC 7 mode, PN showed stable results after 30 minute, however on the ESC 10 mode, showed stable results after 15 minute. On the test result of DPF soot loading state, empty DPF was emitted 3 times PN than those of 30% soot loading DPF, PM was emitted 50% more than those of 30% soot loading DPF.
